Yep, just being pushed back - they are being held in late April, nominations should be announced in early February.
I think they are pushing back the cut-off date for eligible films, too? It's gonna be a weird year!

I haven’t dived into all the Oscar noms yet but a local to me animated film company has its fifth Oscar nom this is amazing it’s a real little company.
Also Emerald Fennell ( Nurse Patsy, Call the Midwife, Camilla, The Crown) has been nominated in best director category for her film Promising Young Woman and screen writer I think too not 100% These 2 delight me for very different reasons.

First Cow was robbed.
I, too, am excited about Emerald Fennel's nom.

I haven't seen all the nominated movies and performances, but I do really hope Carey Mulligan wins for "Promising Young Woman." I haven't been able to get that movie out of my head since I saw it months ago.

Doesn’t feel like awards season, doesn’t feel like anything familiar.

I'm crossing my fingers for Mark Ricker, the production designer for Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. I worked with him c1990 when he was a high school student- he did the production design for the high school's production of Pippin and I did the costumes. My sister in law, a chorus/theater teacher, was his mentor in high school and they've kept in touch. He's a sweetheart and does brilliant period design work.

I am now fully supporting Mr Ricker- what a wonderful story!
