Your welcome. Oddly enough I was trying to remember the name of the book last week and spent an OCD filled afternoon digging through boxes of old books to find it. It was driving me nuts trying to remember the title. I can't believe I still own the thing.

Warning: this might be two separate movies. Here's what I remember:
There is a cabin where a tween is staying with an older guy. I think she wore a red long-underwear type shirt with three buttons. It was very cold, winter. There might have been the word "creek" in the title of the movie, but I could be making that up.
Possible second movie might have a boy who carves little animals. At some point they might be broken or destroyed, possibly by an evil father or father figure.
I remember these scenes from HBO in the mid 80s, and I definitely saw the movie(s) more than once. Hope me!

Somehow an old movie came up with a co-worker today and I can’t remember the name. Plot: A man, his fishing buddy, and his two teen kids are camping in the mountains when there’s a bright flash of light. Long story short, it’s some sort of Armageddon-ish solar thingy that has wiped out most of the population. A small percentage have some sort of immunity, which is genetic, and that’s why the man and his two kids both survived while his friend didn’t. The movie is about the family trying to get home to see if Mom survived. I’m thinking they battle other survivors, although it seems kind of stupid since there’s more than enough food and goodies for everyone. A distinctive thing I remember is that for those who did not survive the solar flare, there’s nothing left but a skiff of white powder. I thought Hope Lange was in it, but a list of her filmography doesn’t ring any bells. I think this movie is from the 1970s. Anyone?

Mugsy, this sounds like Where Have All the People Gone, a cult movie from the 70's. I've heard people talk about it for years and am dying to see it. Like a lot of the great 70's made-for-tvers, it never comes on television anymore...

Thanks, trifle. I googled it and yup, that’s the movie. I don’t know why I thought Hope Lange was in it; maybe I mixed her up with Peter Graves in my memory – similar hair and all.

A while ago, I was Googling for images of Edward Hopper's "House by the Railroad" and found pics of posters for what looked like an interesting movie. I think they were from a film called something like Days of Summer. Hours of Summer? The poster had a painting that was like the Hopper one, and maybe like an Andrew Wyeth one. (Young girl in a dress in a field of wheat.)
Re-Googling similar search terms has not lead me to the poster or the film title (neither has searching via other engines like Altavista.)
Does anyone know a film with a poster like this?

Could it be the poster for Days of Heaven with Richard Gere and Brooke Adams?

This is a recent film. I saw a trailer and can't remember the title, only that I wanted to see it in the future.
It's a space film, takes place on the moon, I think. The filming looks like it's a steadycam inside a space capsule. Something gets inside one of the astronauts suit, I think. It's a horror/thriller. Any ideas?
Eta: thanks! It is Apollo 19
