What destroys a good viewing experience? When somebody screws something up and takes you out of the movie and into the realm of comedy.
Case in point: Untamed Heart. During the scene where Marisa Tomei goes to see Christian Slater we are treated to a scene of two people talking to each other...until we see that every cut back to Tomei has her coat either:
1) Unzipped. 2) Has the scarf wrapped 3) Has the scarf unwrapped
Between each take it changes without her moving AT ALL. Try watching these scene now and not laughing out loud.
Anybody got any more?

One thing that always bugs me from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is where Gandalf and company go see Theoden for the first time. When Gandalf is shown walking towards Theoden from the front, his staff is tucked under his arm. When he is shown walking from the back, he's using the staff to walk.

Aldura...it's not just in TTT. In ROTK, when Gandalf and Pippin go to see Denethor, watch Gandalf's cloak. They approach him sitting on the dais, the cloak is mostly clean at the bottom. They walk away from him at the end of their chitchat, the bottom foot or so of the back of the cloak is dirty.

In The Usual Suspects, when the gang is heading to Los Angeles, they cut to a plane taking off and then landing. The only problem is that the plane that takes off has four engines while the one that lands has two engines.

I totally caught that bit in TTT, too, Aldura. IIRC, PJ & Co point it out in the commentary and say something along the lines of how they wished they had caught it early enough to fix.
In Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban, during the Quiddich scene, Harry's scar (on his forehead for those of you out of the loop) kept changing places - from left to right sides and back again. Like every.single.cut. It was so annoying. Just put the damn scar in the middle so it won't be so noticable, fer cryin' out loud!

As if Cold Creek Manor weren't enough of a suckfest, they screwed up what should have been their big set piece. At the beginning of the movie, when the camera kept lingering on the house's ginormous skylight, I told Mr. Fraoch that someone would fall through said skylight by the end. Sure enough, when it's time for someone to dramatically fall through it, he does so...twice. My friend thought there were TWO skylights that the vic was crashing through, the editing is so bizarre.

This was only one scene in Saved! but Mandy Moore's huge pimple changed sides of her face after she got her hair done.

There's also that scene in Pretty Woman where Julia's having breakfast and one minute she's got a pancake, then a croissant, then something else etc etc.
I'm actually ashamed that I posted about Pretty Woman because usually I like to pretend it never existed.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation has a neat cut where when you see the squirrel jump through the hole in the door right before it leaves the house and Snots the dog is in pursuit, they cut it too early: you see the squirrel jump through the hole, completely vanish a few seconds before Snots crashes through.
Sure, there was a reason why they had to cut, but they should have made a better edit there. Still funny as hell....look, vanishing squirrel!!

In the tango scene in Scent of A Woman the woman is wearing long dangly earrings in some closeups and no earrings at all in other closeups. Also, in Love Actually when Hugh Grant meets his staff for the first time, his tie changes throughout the scene. I know these are just small details, but they really take me out of the scene.
