One ridiculous continuity mistake is that in Troy, when they are showing Hector's body being cremated - they didn't have the damn coins on his eyes! Now at FT someone said that actually that they put coins on the eyes of anyone else was actually the inaccuracy since this practice hadn't yet started in the time of Troy. But that's besides the point, because in this movie, not only was every other corpse - who got a service - shown with the coins on his eyes, but in arguably one of the most significant speeches of the movie, one of the reasons Priam gives for begging Achilles for his son's body back, is to PUT THE DAMN COINS ON HIS EYES!

I'm a real dunce about spotting movie mistakes so you know this one was super obvious because even I saw it.
In Castaway, Tom Hanks uses the ice-skate to knock out his sore tooth. Problem was, according to the scene from "back home", the sore tooth was on the other side of his mouth.

In general, one of the things that really pisses me off is assinine casting. I don't have a specific list right now. However, over the years, I've been so disappointed to see remakes or movies with good original plotlines or book adaptation movies, etc., ruined by lamebrained disregard for choosing someone right for the part rather than giving the role(s) to the box office/popular star.
And don't get me started on some of the pathetic, movie-wrecking casting decisions that seem to be solely based on the actor/actress being the friend, lover, or relative of TPTB.

Kill Bill Vol 2: In the final confrontation with Bill, Beatrix had short-ish hair, just brushing the top of her shoulders. In the next scene, when she's in the hotel room with B.B. and is supposed to take place the next day, her hair is much longer.

Heh. That movie is hilarious, and now that scene is even funnier to me.

I saw "Amazing Grace" again last night (a friend dragged me) and we got to laughing over how many boom shots we saw. Almost every scene!
Does the editor or director not look for that sort of thing? Who's responsible?

I could probably post this in the Absurd and Humorous Websites thread as well, but I thought it was most relevant to this topic. A database of pretty much every movie mistake ever madeBe forewarned: I have killed *hours* looking at this thing. It also gives you the strongest urge to rush out to the rental place and rent a ton of movies just to see the mistakes you saw listed.

Who's responsible? If he/she didn't frame the film correctly, the projectionist would have been responsible for the boom mike being visible. Since it happened throughout the film it's likely that was the case.

I love that in Swingers, there's a scene in the beginning of the movie with Jon Favreau's character in his apartment, either talking on the phone or listening to voicemail; I can't remember which. Anyway, every shot back to the desk shows something different: the machine is there, then it's gone, then the phone is there, then it's missing. It's just hilarious because it totally looks like it was done on purpose.
