No one has mentioned "Troy?" C'mon, now that was a piece of crap. . I thought about it, but due to Eric Bana and only Eric Bana, I changed my mind. Funny thing about that film was how shocked a lot of people were that Brad Pitt was sooo not a decent actor. I've been saying that for years. I also say that about Angelina Jolie but so far no one is listening to me.

I had the extreme misfortune of watching 'White Chicks' the other night, and my eyeballs melted and now I'm blind.
Those Wayans assholes owe me 2 glass eyes.

I think we have a future candidate for worst movie ever coming! After I came out of MR and MRS Smith today with my parents, I got pulled aside and was asked to watch a trailer. It was for.....wait for it now....Big Mommas House 2! No, i'm not kidding. Pretty much, the whole trailer consists of Big Momma running up the beach in a horrendously bright yellow thonged swimsuit. I think it's safe to say that this movie is going to be pretty bad.

I hated Forrest Gump.
I really, really hated it. I can't believe that Tom Hanks won an Oscar for that stupid movie, that it won best picture, best director and best script!!!!! Or that so many people kept telling everyone how wonderful it was.
The script reminded me of someone with a set of index cards, listing the important aspects of those years...let's see, someone goes to Vietman, someone gets AIDS, someone becomes a runner, goes to a war protest, etc,, etc.
I detest Sally Fields anyway, as her voice gets on my nerves big time and I think Hanks is vastly overrated as an actor.
The whole "lets put Forrest in encounters with famous people" was a rip-off of "Zelig". Particularly stupid was the "I gotta pee" encounter with JFK.
STUPID STUPID STUPID.
I was particularly irritated with the ridiculous re-writing of the probable reaction of a crowd of Vietnam protestors to a squeaky clean, spit and polish soldier (Forrest Gump). Sorry, folks, I was around during those years, attended my share of protests. Clean cut soldiers were NOT welcomed with open arms. That type and size of crowd was much more likely to beat the sh*t out of Forrest. Too bad they didn't. It would have been more realistic that the stupid scene they did write.
And that stupid "Life is like a box of chocolates..." AWWWWKKK!
I can't believe that that stupid movie won Best Picture. Quiz Show was a far superior picture, or Shawshank Redemption.
The only good think about that picture was Gary Sinise.

This may raise a few hackles, but I present for your consideration Tarnation.
I was so looking forward to this movie; the buzz was it was more intimate and more compelling than Capturing The Friedmans. I ordered it as soon as it was released on DVD as it has not been released in NZ as yet. O God. This has to be the flimsiest, most self-indulgent pile of toss I have ever seen. It was such a blatant piece of self-promotion that so ruthlessly exploits his mother's mental illness I felt soiled just watching it. And so padded out! There is maybe a 15 minute film of minor interest in there somewhere. God forbid this should become the documentary form of the future.

Afraid so. That predates VCRs by just a few years. And I hate that movie for one big reason: I caught it on TNT way back when about 3am and they censored out Dabney Coleman's ASS. Someone making a money thought we needed to see Dabney Coleman's ass. That alone puts it into a new realm of hell.

I've got your back, Miss Marple. While not my personal worst movie ever, I think Forrest Gump is one of the most overrated movies of the last couple of decades. It always warms my heart to find someone who agrees.

Add me to the WTF? group for Forrest Gump. I never understood the FG love.
My worst movie of the last few years is The Life of David Gale. Oh, and Minority Report. After I saw that I vowed never to pay to see another Tom Cruise movie again. Looks like one of my better decisions.
