Hee. While I agree about Crash, I would put 300 and Apocalypto on my best list simply because I love both of those films so much.

Fool's Gold was horrible. Matthew McConaughey basically just had to play himself and still wasn't interesting. You know, footage of any two hours of his everyday life would have been more interesting than this movie. It seemed like a big excuse for everyone involved to go to the Caribbean for a couple of months. And Kate Hudson? Really not cute. Her head looks like it's been smacked hard with a skillet.

The Bucket List could win Worst Picture simply by, ironically enough, inspiring the audience to EFFING DIE rather than put up with its ooky mix of pathos, erectile dysfunction jokes, and bad green screen work.

Morgan Freeman to Star in 'Dirty Old Men.' Calling Jack Nicholson!

Or at least, he will be. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Freeman will play one of the lead roles in the upcoming Warner Bros. comedy 'Dirty Old Men.' Described as "similar to 'Wedding Crashers' and 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'", 'Dirty Old Men' will showcase Freeman as a man trying to prevent his best friend, an aging playboy, from getting married.

While no deal has yet been reached, the report indicates that the studio has targeted Jack Nicholson for the role of Freeman's love-struck buddy, a move that would re-team Nicholson and Freeman for the first time since their popular 2007 comedy 'The Bucket List', which boasted a worldwide gross of $175 million.

The film will be developed by writers Josh Cagan ('Bandslam') and Greg Coolidge ('Cockblockers'), with Peter Segal ('Get Smart') a possibility to direct.

Wow, somebody give Nicholson another Oscar! Nicholson playing a dirty old man: what range, what imagination this man has.

I found Alexis Dziena rather adorable in that film (I have a soft spot for cute, good natured airheads in comedies) but yeah that wasn't a good film.

I agree, Nicholas wasn't like the other white-person-inserted-into-black-history characters. He had zero nobility and I'm guessing a large percentage of the audience wanted him to get his just desserts. He (in my opinion) was a symbol of British arrogance in the developing world. He came in for adventure, nookie, and parties and really didn't care about whose lives he was helping to destroy.

Off-topic, but I did appreciate (in addition to James McAvoy's buttocks) that the well-meaning but essentially clueless white guy in Africa was not let off the hook. Composite or whatever, I really like that movie, but my love for McAvoy and his 70s Dorothy Hamill-do does make me biased.

Topic: I remember being really angry watching "First Knight," but nostalgia for Heath Ledger and time have softened my anger. But probably "Pearl Harbor" just in terms of sheer bad. Or "Armaggedeon."

Oh man, I love First Knight. I had a roommate that literally watched that movie 3-4 times a week. Every time I joined her to snark on it we would find new ways to crack each other up making fun of it. It's the gift that kept on giving!

But yeah, that movie sucked.
