Oh, I just remembered another one. Now I love Jackie Chan and it truly pains me to say this, but The Medallion was an absolute shitstorm. And I say this as a fan of martial arts/Hong Kong action movies - I've seen some schlocky, cheaply-produced ones but if there are good fights and the barest hint of a plot, I'm there. This just had excruciatingly bad comedy, bad special effects, bad female characters, bad story, and only one memorable stunt. Truly one of the few movies where I've been tempted to ask for my money back from the theater. What about The Tuxedo? I watched it for Jason Isaacs, but it was a bad, bad movie.

Oooh, I never saw The Tuxedo. The best point of reference I can provide is that I also Around the World in 80 Days and wasn't nearly as bothered by it (actually, it was better than my admittedly low expectations).

Leap Year. If we're talking about this decade. HORRIBLE. Last decade: Because I Said So. It was bad. Very bad. I don't even have any idea what movies you're talking about! ;D I take your word for it, because I don't even remember any movie called Because I Said So coming out. Quick turnover at the theaters, was it? Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham, Diane Keaton (all of whom I really like), the Dad from Seventh Heaven (who I don't). Totally meddling mother who "means well," but crosses every boundary known to man. Baaaad movie. I'm surprised no one's mentioned any of the new Star Wars movies. The third one, besides totally letting us down by making Anikin's descent into evil totally unbelievable and more of an angsty teenager move, having the worst dialogue ever, and only one female speaking part (practically only one female character), made me so angry! Definitely my worst movie of the decade.

I'll add in the Star Wars prequels and Cronenberg's Crash. Georgia Rule and I Know Who Killed My Career Me, while I'm at it.
ETA: Sorry, Crash was 1996. I'll save that for the "Worst Films of My Life" thread.

For sure. Talk about shitting on our childhood mythologies and turning sacred cows into hamburger. Darth Vader was the ULTIMATE VILLIAN, gawddammit, and Lucas even fucked THAT up!

Not as bad as Leap Year, but bad.

Well, I didn't spend any money on Around the World (saw it in-flight) but you had to be a super duper Jackie Chan fan to like it. I have to throw in Drag Me to Hell. I suppose there are those who like Wes Craven's films, but I was eating a movie theater hotdog at the beginning (a mistake in itself) and that's money and time I'll never get back.

I don't this one has been brought up yet, so I will offer it up for one of the worst of the decade: Pearl Harbor. Oh, jeebus, yes! That was so, so laughingly awful. During the big bombing scene, I only cared about the little dog surviving. I was actively hoping most of the cast would die. I only watched the first of the new Star Wars movies and was so shocked at the unbelievable awfulness of it that I never saw any of the others.

After watching the first one (or the fourth or whatever) I vowed to not give George Lucas any more money. I even went reluctantly because Return of the Jedi was disappointing. The Ewok drum circle. A happy-grandpa looking Darth. Yuck.

When I told him about my issues with SW, he said he usually had girls who hadn't seen any of them start with Return of the Jedi because it has the cute Ewoks in it. Luckily, he had other redeeming factors and this never became an issue.
