I flove A Christmas Story one of my favorite movies.
I hate Its A Wonderful Life. I love Jimmy Stewart, but I want to slap George Bailey, and marry Mr. Potter for the money.

I'm not a big fan of It's a Wonderful Life either. I get the message, but who's to say that George wouldn't have touched as many lives if he'd lived the way he'd wanted? I admire his self-sacrifice, I do. And I love the way that he often wasn't noble about it sometimes. But Holy Cow, by the end of the movie, I felt like his family (especially the kids and Uncle Whatisface) were doing their damndest to send George around the bend.
Little Zuzie or whoever she was irritated the living crap out of me. I don't know why. Maybe it's her delivery of: "EV-ree TIME you HEAR a bell, an ANgel GETS his WIIIINGS!"
Personally, I'm a The Grinch Who Stole Christmas fan.

Sancho, the one with the Heat Miser and his brother Snow Miser is The Year Without a Santa Claus. It also features the very annoying elves Jingle and Jangle. Not that they keep me from watching it; if it's Christmas themed, I'm all over it. (Unless it's poorly animated and featuring characters that didn't exist when noelie was a kid; if Dora and Diego have a Christmas special, I don't need to know). I resisted for a long time, but this year Elf got me. It's not my favorite, but it'll be on the list. You're right, noelie -- my bad memory at work. But, I still love Santa Claus is Comin' to Town because of Fred Astaire's narration and of course, the BurgerMeister MeisterBurger. (All of which I now remember b/c the show was on last night.)

Elf is always awesome. It was on TV over Thanksgiving, and I watched it three nights in a row. The giant burp, followed by "Did you hear that?" has become a popular phrase in my house. Mr Woodchipper & I use "you sit on a throne of lies!" at every appropriate (and often inappropriate) occasion.

Sancho just became my new best friend! I've been watching Bad Santa every year for the holidays since we got the DVD and it's become a bit of a holiday tradition. Unfortunately, I don't think my bf's parents would like that too much, since we're spending Xmas with them this year....

Elf has so many funny moments; I really love that movie. Will Ferrell's face when he's spinning around in the revolving door and yelling is so sweet and hysterical.
"You smell like beef and cheese"
I love the whole exchange he has with "Santa"

I love The Santa Clause movies, Scrooged, Elf, White Christmas, A Christmas Story (which bored me as a kid, but has grown on me now). I can't stand Miracle on 34th St, and have never made it through It's A Wonderful Life all the way. It makes me want to kill myself or shoot everyone in the film. A couple that I like that no one's mentioned, Olive the Other Reindeer and Blackadder's Christmas Carol.

I think A Christmas Story plays for 24 hours on Christmas Day on TNN. I'm also a big fan of Olive. Drew Barrymore's voice is perfect for that little dog.
ETA: I've said it before, but Charlie Brown's Christmas Special is my all time favorite. My boyfriend and I were doing the Peanuts dances way before the cast of Scrubs did it.

C'mon over to the house jadefox -- we've got plenty of beer, if you'll bring the chips. I think Lauren Graham is sexy as hell, my wife thinks Tony Cox and Bernie Mac are funny as hell, and we both think its one of Billy Bob Thornton's best performances. God bless us every one . . .
