What a great thread! For me, Interview with the Vampire is a story about a lonely vampire named Armand who toys with the idea of regaining his humanity in order to seduce some random new-colonial interloper. Antonio Banderas is *riveting* in that film.

The actress who plays Hugh Grant's sister is also a hilarious scene-stealer in her own right. I don't really care for the film but I still crack a smile when I think of the way she delivered the line "Holy fuck!" after seeing Julia Roberts for the first time.

Johnny Depp in the Pirates films. Who honestly was paying attention to anyone else?

I'm watching Four Weddings and a Funeral, and I don't know how we could have forgotten Simon Callow as Gareth!
Of course, later in the movie, during the funeral, John Hannah then steals the movie right back.

I would like to nominate Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York. The man may be a real arse in life (breaking up with Isabelle Adjani via fax when she was pregnant? total tool), but man oh man could he act. Lenoardo DiCaprio? Cameron Diaz? What? You mean they were in there? ;D
Modified because Sophie Marceau is NOT Isabelle Adjani and one beautiful, talented French actress is not the other beautiful, talented French actress. No wonder I felt odd when I was posting this.

Wait, didn't he have a kid with Isabelle Adjani, not Sophie?

That's what I thought too. I don't think he was ever with Sophie Marceau.

If the reviews for Cars are any indication, Paul Newman's Doc Hudson steals every scene he's in.

Meg Ryan in Top Gun. She and Goose were the cutest couple ever and the only reason I would ever watch that movie again.

And who can forget Val Kilmer in Tombstone? I forgot all about Wyatt Earp whenever Doc Holliday was on camera.
