Most of my favorites have already been named. Rupert Everett in "My Best Friend's Wedding"--definitely the best part of that movie, AND the reason why I sit and watch it whenever it's on TV. I loved the scene at the end where he and Julia dance. It made my twelve-year-old self wish I could find a male friend who could dance, gay or straight. Oh, and Steve Carell in "Anchorman" has been mentioned a few times, but I think it deserves repeating. My friend and I saw a preview for that movie, thought it looked funny but dumb, and said to each other, "So that's where Steve went. Hope it was worth leaving 'The Daily Show!'" Little did we know he would be the funniest and most quotable character from the movie! "There were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident!" Rhys Ifans in "Notting Hill" was brilliant too. That movie is about half an hour too long, but not due to any of his scenes. I would give up forty-five minutes of the bloated love story to save Rhys dancing in front of the paparazzi in his underwear...gross, but funny.
I haven't seen Amy Poehler in "Mean Girls" mentioned yet. She KILLED me in that movie, because I knew a mom that was just like her! She carried around a little foofy dog, bought her daughter & friends alcohol, and had probably had plastic surgery. I love the part where Regina, in full spinal halo, is posing for pictures with her date, and Amy is in the background, striking poses whenever the flash goes off. Too funny.

I was going to add Tim Meadows to the Mean Girls list. He was so understated and dry in his delivery. He cracked me up. My son never tires of quoting him either. I haven't liked him in much before or since, but I'll always have a soft spot for him for this film.

Well I started up the Last of the Mohicans thread because of these two since in my eyes they stole the movie. The extremely subtle coupling of Alice and Uncas in that movie definitely kept my interest more than Cora and Hawkeye ever could.

"Is there alcohol in this?" (*Horrified gasp*) "God, honey, no! Why? Do you want some? Because God knows, if you're going to drink, I'd rather have you do it under my roof."

Bronson Pinchot as the art gallery assistant in the first Beverly Hill Cop. I always quit watching the movie after I see his scene.
I would love to see the outtakes on that...

How about Dudley Moore in "Foul Play". The original scene stealer.

Sally Field in "Steel Magnolias". Although it's an ensemble cast, and they are all good (with the exception of Julia Roberts), Sally just takes the movie, especially the scene after Shelby's funeral.
Samuel L. Jackson in "Pulp Fiction". Everyone was on John Travolta's left nut over that movie, but Sam had the best lines that everyone remembers and that I quote regularly.

He absolutely had the best lines in Pulp Fiction. The. Best. I love his delivery, too. I could quote him from that movie all day long. To this day, I explain which wallet is mine in a very particular way.

I thought Shirley Maclaine was the scene stealer in Steel Magnolias.
