His accent was terrible and downright laughable in Black Hawk Down. I still love you Ewan!

My favorite "fake" Ewan accent, has to be his Obi-Wan voice. VERY refined and sexy. But I love his natural Scottish brogue to be the best.

Ahh the awe inspiring ConAir. Bad hair, bad acting, lots of explosions. That accent she was bad, but not so bad as Nic Cage in Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Mama Mia hisa Ee-talian accenta make me wanna cry. Plus you had Penelope Cruz and John Hurt doing "Greek"

His accent was jaw droppingly bad. SNL parody of a southern accent bad. I couldn't watch the movie, the first 10 minutes were too excrutiating.

Con Air!! "Put thuh bunneh bayck in thuh bawks."
Oddly, though, his accent was fine in Raising Arizona. Then again, it was a non-region-specific redneck dialect rather than Southern.

It's not exactly an accent, but Nic Cage also had some weird speaking thing going on in Peggy Sue Got Married.

Anna Paquin's southern accent in X-Men is terrible -- she only remembers to do it about 1/4 of the time.
And I had no idea Johnny Lee Miller wasn't Scottish, so I guess his accent in Trainspotting worked for me. The fact that he's very, very pretty doesn't hurt.

When you listen to the commentary onthe dvd, someone--either Ewan McGregor or the director, Danny Boyle--mentions that he didn't realize Jonny wasn't Scottish until he heard him speaking in his regular accent! So it must have been good!

Coming from Northern Minnesota....I got to say that I hated the accents in Fargo and in North Country. The latter film was made about my area...the Iron Range. Charlize Theron's accent just had me laughing. Good movie, but the accent attempt was horrid.
And in Fargo...accents exaggerated beyond belief.

Word Secret Squirrel. I grew up in Duluth, MN. I have never heard someone speak in the "Minnesotan" accent used in Fargo and Drop Dead Gorgeous (I have not seen North Country yet).
