I was watching Blonde (the "fictional bio" of Marilyn Monroe with Poppy Montgomery)... and suddenly there was that Jensen dude from Supernatural dancing around in a satin robe!

I loved that miniseries and the Joyce Carol Oates book it's based on. I can't find the book at the library or B&N for anything, so maybe I'll just order it online. I already knew Jensen Ackles from playing Eric Brady on "Days of our Lives", so the role was quite a departure for him. I think I started watching "Without a Trace" because I recognized Poppy from Blonde. Patrick Dempsey was in it too before his "Grey's Anatomy" comeback.

Hey, that was Jack Black as the Stoner Guy while I was watching I Still Know What You Did Last Summer! (That's the prequel to "No, Really, I Really Do Know What You Did Last Summer")

I saw You've Got Mail for the first time yesterday and Sara Ramirez (Callie from Grey's Anatomy) played a supermarket check-out girl. She had a heavy accent that she doesn't have in real life, so it was kind of weird - they must have asked her to put it on.
Also Dave Chappelle played Tom Hanks' black best friend - I assume this must have been his break/how he first got noticed?
Meg Ryan was cute as a button in that movie, which made me extra sad that she messed with herself so much.

I was watching "To Sir With Love" tonight and I was surprised to see that one of "Sir's" fellow teachers was Patricia Routledge, otherwise known as Hyacinth Bucket.

That movie's got a bunch of good actors in small roles -- in addition to the ones you've mentioned, there's Steve Zahn, Heather Burns, Michael Badalucco, Reiko Aylesworth, Jane Adams ...

My husband always quotes Dave Chapelle's character when he's describing someone: "She's got the same coloring as..." I love that movie. Parker Posey's character also cracks me up.

I read the complete thread and I am surprised that The Bounty, the Anthony Hopkins/Mel Gibson version, was not mentioned because of two actors in small roles: Daniel Day-Lewis and Liam Neeson.

I'm watching Carlito's Way, which I haven't seen since it was in the theaters. I'm amazed to see Viggo Mortensen (successfully!) playing a shady Hispanic dealer with Al Pacino.
