I'll trade you! I got Sayid. I was never as crazy about him as most people were.

I got Locke on my cover. If I were choosing, I'd probably take Sayid, but Locke is cool. He's such an iconic character, it didn't even occur to me that there were multiple covers at first.
I was trying not to get overinvested in the final season and get all sad about the show ending, but reading the interview looking back on filming the pilot, and when the actors talk about what they want to do next, I got all misty.
Most of the actors, I've seen in other things either before or during Lost, so I don't typecast them, but man, if I ever see Josh Holloway or Evangeline Lilly in a new role, I'll bet it's going to be weeeeeird for me.

There are some seriously bitter posts turning up at The Fuselage these days, with people saying TPTB lied and deceived and manipulated us into thinking this was a good show that knew where it was going, when it was really something they've just been "making up as they go along". Which yea, they have. Obviously you can plan out where you want your story to go, but on a TV-show where you don't know how long you have to tell your story, you are going to be "making it up as you go along as well". Plus, I'm sure that the addition of certain actors/characters have shaped HOW they tell the story: Ben, Desmond and Alpert being cases in point. At The Fuselage I found two good links to "how the show was made" stories that say and explain a lot about how a TV-show is created through collaboration more than just one person having one brilliant writing session. Here is a GQ interview with show-runners from Fringe and Lost. And here is an account by one of Lost's writers about how some of the show's most important stories actually WERE pre-planned and how other things were conceived of in the writer's room in an on-going creation process. None of the stuff is spoilery at all btw!

Daniel Dae Kim shot a pilot for a new Hawaii Five-0. I hope it gets picked up, because I'd love to see him running around Hawaii as a hot cop... who speaks English.

I would have preferred Dr. Jack Shepherd, thankyouverymuch. Ian Somerhalder was interviewed on one of the local radio morning shows (for the vampire tv show) and he casually mentioned that he was in Hawaii 2 weeks ago filming for LOST. I think it's safe to say that Boone makes a reappearance on the finale.

You think those are bad covers? I got Kate. Blech.
Although the content is great. My biggest surprise was learning that Damon Lindelof came from Crossing Jordan, and Carlton Cuse came from Nash Bridges. I think it's quite a leap from those shows to Lost!

There's a bronze bust of Hawaii Five-O star Jack Lord right around the corner from Kim's restaurant. I hope he went by and left an offering for good luck.
