The writing isn't always the greatest on this show, but Juice's storyline is terrible. SAMCRO is not the Nord League and even though they might have a rule against admitting black people, isn't the crime of being a rat much bigger? He's acting so out of character for a smart guy who should be used to external pressures from police by now. The only reason I can find for the sloppy writing is that Theo Rossi also wants out. That would be the only explanation.
I can't stand that slimy DA. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I much preferred Stahl to this weird, sneaky dude and I hope he goes down soon. I don't mind the new sheriff and his wife looks awesome. I am also hoping that the sheriff, much like Hale, will see how the DA will screw him over on the Juice story and will align himself with SAMCRO. But he doesn't care much for Charming like Hale did since he didn't grow up there.
I know Clay is a very important part of this show from the way Sutter has set it up, but can they kill him too? Hellboy is hard core alright, but I can't find any redeeming qualities about his character. I think he's the least likable person of that gang.He is not loyal to the club, he didn't care about hitting one of his own (JT and Opie/Donna), he's out only for himself. At least Tig had a change of heart and apologized to Opie for what he did. Plus he's funny.

I won't believe Juice is gone till I see him on a slab. I thought I heard a tree crack at the very end, like the branch didn't hold. He's fine, you guys!

I won't believe Juice is gone till I see him on a slab. I thought I heard a tree crack at the very end, like the branch didn't hold. He's fine, you guys! Yeah I thought I heard a branch cracking and a thump, like a body hitting the ground. I don't know, I kind of hope he's dead, it would feel like a cop out if he wasn't. The scene with him and Clay broke my heart. He has nothing and no one, the club is his family and if they knew who he really was they'd probably kill him. Geez. I can actually see Clay, Tig, Piney and maybe Bobby having a problem with Juice being black, because of some of the one-off comments they've made over the seasons, but I honestly cannot see Jax, Opie or the younger guys really caring at this point. What I don't understand is why Juice didn't immediately go to the club or even just Jax if the cops were pressuring him. Weird. I'm not quite sure how to take Gemma this season. She went from being a BAMF in the first two seasons to taking charge in the third, shoving her way into the trip to Ireland, holding a gun to a baby, and not letting SAMCRO tell her what to do to Clay and Jax talking about her like she's an ol' lady and Clay laying hands on her. WTF? She's way more than an ol' lady at this point and it feels weird that everyone is treating her that way. What happened? Also Tara needs to GTFO NOW! Layla has more sense than you girl! Layla!!!! Your fiancee is making a deal with a Mexican drug cartel. These people cut up people and stitch their faces to soccer balls, why are you not packing? She's a surgeon who could get a job anywhere. Leave for god's sake. Jax must have a golden dick or something because I can't think of a reason for Tara staying. The only people I'm liking this season are Tig, Kozik, and Happy. At least they don't pretend to be something they're not. I mean, when Tig is the moral compass and is treating women better than the other guys, something has gone horribly horribly wrong.

I certainly agree Tara needs to leave but I think it's easier said than done. Lyla has a major advantage over Tara. Lyla doesn't have kids with Opie while Tara has two sons with Jax (yes I know Abel isn't her biological son but it's pretty obvious the kids thinks of Tara as his mother and vice versa). There's no way Tara is going to leave town without her children. Would you want your kids to be raised by Gemma Teller Morrow (make no mistake that's who would raise the boys if Tara was out of the picture)? Even though Jax has been in and out of jail he does have rights to the boys and I don't see him allowing Tara to just leave with them. If by some chance he did allow this there's no way Gemma would allow Tara to take her grandsons away from her. So, her only option would be to sneak away in the middle of the night but how would she support herself and the boys? Yes, she's a doctor but using that medical license to score a job would leave a paper trail which means SAMCRO could find her. In other words, she's screwed.

I think Juice is gone though Theo Rossi is not giving up anything on his twitter yet! It will be a cop out if he survives the hanging AND not getting killed by SAMCRO when they find out he's been a rat because that slimy DA will make sure they know about it. Speaking of, I knew that Eli was going to be the resurrection of Hale. I didn't mind him initially because after all he's only doing his job even though we are used to side with the wrong side of the law on this show and really suspend real life prejudice against a gang of bikers/criminals. If Juice is dead, that will be the tipping point for him to finally turn against the DA much like Hale did after Donna's death.
I hope that Clay is removed from his throne and Bobby Elvis replaces him which to me, is the sanest person in that club. Opie and Jax are still very hot tempered and Piney is too old. Tig is too much of a Clay apologist so to me Bobby is the perfect combination of wisdom and experience. As for Tara, I agree she can't just run away without telling Jax and taking his children with him. It was different for Layla. I can also understand why she hasn't told Jax yet. If he finds out, hot headed as he is, he will do something irrational in the heat of the moment and she's scared that he will end up paying for it. Remember that Jax does not reveal much to her about the club, about Clay or how the other members feel toward him. She may think that if he kills Clay, a member of the club, the other guys will turn and kill Jax.
I still don't know what the Russians did to Jax when he was in prison. It has been mentioned several times and that's why he killed them in epi 1, but I never got the reason why.
The level of intensity has increased so much in the last two episodes. I am loving every minute of it.

If Juice is dead, that will be the tipping point for him to finally turn against the DA much like Hale did after Donna's death. Yeah I think they have written themselves in a corner with this Juice storyline. Any resolution that doesn't end up with him dead or kicked out of the club would be total bs. Its too bad, I like Juice and have been hoping for him to have a bigger role for the last couple of seasons but this storyline sucks. I think it is interesting that they are tackling race this year but it seems really clumsily handled. First they haven't really given a good explanation as to why the club won't let blacks in. Now I know that is probably true of most motorcycle clubs in real life but SAMCRO has never been depicted that way. And the reason given that rules are rules and they can't chose which ones they follow? Okay Sons of Anarchy. You might want to change your name then. I know that Sutter supposedly goes into more detail on his blog but if you are going to make this a major plot for the season than you show be able to explain it on the show. I'm not going to your stupid blog. Secondly if they were really going to tackle race it would have been nice if they didn't make Juice a rat and a murderer right away. I think it would have been interesting to see how the club would react if they just found out Juice was black. I too think there would have been a generational divide. But by Juice doing what he did to Miles it will make it easy for the club to kick out / kill Juice when the time comes. It is sort of a cop out. Other than that I have actually been really enjoying this season. I think it is much better than last. I am also not crazy that they made Clay a one dimensional villain but otherwise I like that the club falling apart is from divisions in the inside rather than an outside enemy. I guess I am alone in that I kind of like the slimy DA. I wish they hadn't made him quite so slimy but he is still an improvement over Stahl.

Are you kidding me? A cop out and Piney??? Poor Piney. He was one lonely and dissapointed soul.I hate Clay. While all the other characters have some redeeming qualities, Clay plain sucks and this I think is the fault of the writers.
Good for Tara for finally leaving but I can't believe she hasn't smarted up to the fact that Clay put a hit on her since she knows what he's capable of and she saw that Gemma was looking for something in her office. She should keep her new destination hidden from Gemma and Clay.
I hope Juice confessed to Chibs to what he did. I still think he will go before the season is over but at least he doesn't get to go like a coward without fighting.

First of all, whoo hoo, Juice, you made it, buddy! Second, Clay--I hate you. I'll always hate you. You killed a guy on oxygen, dude.
I'm glad Tara's leaving too. She may not be saying out loud her thoughts about Clay, but she's smart and has now read those letters from JT: she knows what he's capable of to get what he wants. Do we know who sent the threat yet? I thought I'd seen Unser put it there but I don't remember clearly.

Great episode. I was kind of spoiled on it. I read after last week that there was going to be a major death that wasn't Juice. As soon as Piney told Opie he loved him it was obvious he was toast. Poor Opie, he is going to be wrecked. Clay is now responsible for both his first wife and his dad's death. If there is any justice Opie will get to be the one who ultimately takes Clay down.
Unser was the one who left the death threat. The idea was that if the police and the rest of the club thought Tara was in danger then it would be harder for Clay to kill her. I don't know if that is actually true though. Yes she is leaving town but Clay or his hit man can easily get to her and then everyone will just think it is whoever sent the letter. Who they seem to think is from outside the club. Unser never was that bright.
Did Piney actually have copies of the letters? I thought Tara had the only copies. It'll be interesting to see how Gemma and the rest of the club reacts. Clay is trying to pin the death on the other cartel by writing LS (Lobos Sonora) but they beheaded a bunch of people. Just shooting someone in the chest wouldn't be their style. I hope at least one of the guys starts to suspect Clay. I imagine Gemma will figure it out. Whether she sticks by Clay or not will be interesting.
I watched this while I was eating dinner. Glad I didn't have chili!

This show is going to give me a heart attack. I gasped out loud so much during tonight's episode. Tara just absolutely breaks my heart. She has no safety net now, she's saddled with children and her fiancee just keeps blindly heading into disaster. Although she has become quite good at getting kidnapped, it's getting a little ridiculous at this point. I feel so awful for her, she's stuck stuck stuck.
The Gemma and Clay fight was.....intense. This is the women who endured a gang rape by some Aryans to protect the club and you get her down on the ground and punch her in the face? Jesus Christ, Clay has truly lost it. I just wonder whose going to take him out, if we're going for Hamlet it's Jax but I'm not sure, there are so many people with reason. Although I did figure Gemma had way more to do with John Tellers death, so that was a nice confirmation.
I don't really care about Juice's storyline, Theo is doing an awesome job, but meh.
I think that was Wendy in the preview! I wonder if shes coming back to get Abel after hearing about everything that has happened to Tara. Can't blame her.
