Is there something I'm missing? Is Hollywood really getting awesome feedback on the game-to-film genre? Couldn't they have made a film involving a ship without branding it as based on a game? Absurd.

I agree, absurd but dammit, they have me hooked with ASkars. If I went to see the dreck that was Pathfinder for Karl Urban, I imagine I'll be watching Battleship to see the swede in Navy whites.

I think I'm a little more interested in this because it's a movie based on Battleship. How do you make a story out of that? There was a movie based on Clue back in the eighties so it's not completely unprecedented.

I guess anything is possible. |

Fan pic of Alex shooting a soccer scene for Battleship. Yep, they've got my money for this one. The extras have been tweeting that Rihanna is a bad actress and can't play soccer. Someone tweeted Taylor Kitsch mooned them during this scene. Another fan photo of Alex from the soccer shoot. All the extras keep saying how nice he is. Here is what the girl in the pic wrote about him on Facebook: |

Considering Ridley Scott is rumoured, or at least was rumoured, to be making a movie based on Monopoly, I'm not shocked that Battleship got the movie treatment. It might be ok, but can it be as good as " Minesweeper the movie"? |
