Ok, this sounds like a ridiculous vehicle for Rihanna, but it also looks ridiculous, period. And I've had my fill of aliens this summer. Why don't they save a few alien movies for March when there's nothing going on but depressing artsy sh*t? No worries. It doesn't come out until next year. |

The acting looks so much better in that than the trailer, but that's not saying much. I'm sure it will make a truckload of money though.

As long as he's in at least half the movie I'll be happy. Yet from the trailer I confess to worry about his status.
This movie looks awesomely cheesy. I am so there.

I don't have a good feeling about his life span in this movie. He plays Taylor's older brother, so I'm hoping he'll stick around and they'll save each other...in wet, tight clothing.

As I've said before, if Taylor Kitsch is shirtless through most of the movie, I'm there. Otherwise I'll wait for John Carter and save this one for DVD.

I love how this thread died before the movie even came out. The trailer and anticipation regarding the stars was so much more entertaining than the movie itself. I rented this as something to watch with my 18-year-old son since it's an action alien movie starring Liam Neeson, whom my son is a fan of. Can't miss right? RIGHT??? Well, he hated it. But it was good for a laugh. Now I'm left wondering who blackmailed LN to appear in this piece of shit and with what.
On a positive note, Rihanna did surprisingly well in her role. It wasn't a demanding role by any means, but she managed to avoid that embarrassing self-awareness that pop stars with no potential whatsoever to become actors display when given the opportunity to appear in a movie (see Madonna). Rihanna has some potential as an actress. Well, she would if she is ever allowed to slow down her music career.
