Just watching Encino Man and suddenly remembered how great BF is. I think it's the combination of that huge grin, the fact that he was willing to take on really goofy roles like this (and didn't seem in the least embarrassed about it), and his reputation as an all-round good guy.
He's one of my all time favourite crushes, from the George of the Jungle beefcake to his tragi-comedic cameo in Scrubs.
Apparently he has a few films out next year so hopefully we'll see more of him then...

I think he's resoundingly unattractive, and that movie with Liz Hurley made me hate him. Then I rented Gods and Monsters and changed my tune. Still think he's fug, but huge props for a great job in that amazingly good movie.

So. Fucking. Hot. "School Ties" is one of my favorite movies ever. I know people think he has a weird voice, but I think it sounds authorative and manly - whew! *fans myself* And the fact that >>he was having an affair with Nona Gaye<< in "Crash" and they didn't even SHOW it almost made me weep. We wuz ROBBED, y'all!

He's ugly but in a sexy way, if that makes sense. I like that he's a big nerd and he makes fun of himself all the time, and is just an all around gentleman. Like in one interview, he mentioned that an eight year old little girl sent him a fan letter along with her treasured map of an amusement park. He sent it back saying, "Sweetie, you're breaking my heart. I can't stop thinking of you being lost while trying to find Bobo's Swing Tree!"

He's ugly but in a sexy way, if that makes sense. Sure it does. There are men that I find to be extremely sexy, but not necessarily good-looking. (Busta Rhymes, for example.)

I am one of the five people that saw him in 'MonkeyBone' which is a weird/sucky movie with some really funny moments. Everytime I saw it (my roommate was obsessed with this film for a bit) I would always snicker at the scenes where he is able to keep a straight face playing a monkey trapped in a man's body trying to get it on with the guy's girlfriend. Priceless.

Unfortunately, he really typecast himself by appearing in too many cartoon adaptations/live action mixes. George of the Jungle, Dudley Do-Right, Monkeybone (Hamatron, I'm one of the other five who saw that one!), Looney Tunes, etc. It took years of wasted time watching cable TV to learn that he has even ever played serious roles.

I find him intriguing because of his odd career choices. I mean, he did George of the Jungle, The Mummy, and The Quiet American. The hell? These movies have nothing in common. At all. When I try to figure out why he makes the choices he does, all I can come up with is that he must have an awfully good sense of humor about the whole thing.
Also, I respect that he still has indie cred, with all the crap he's done. But I agree with JeanBean. Not cute.

I really like his weird film choices. I get the impression that he's done various films just because he fancied doing something different, and that he just really likes acting in a variety of films (admittedly, some of them crap). I never feel with him like he's just got a rubbish agent to blame for the flops, because he doesn't strike me as the type who is desperate to carve out a name for himself. He's one of those who treats it as a job, rather than an all-consuming lifestyle, and I like that.

And he was still adorable and totally f@ckable in The Mummy movies. (Like him best tan) I'd be perfectly happy with someone who's quirkly Belle Laide (or in this case beaux laid i guess) [translation= 'beautiful ugly'] He does have some new movies in production, hopefully they won't be clunkers.
