For those of us wondering where Brendan Fraser went, GQ did a long profile answering exactly that. IMO this was a sad, although very worthwhile, read. He also reveals that a former president of the HFPA groped him in 2003 (it sounds similar to the incident Terry Crews experienced).

Brendan Fraser? Fergie? Clint Eastwood? Lara Flynn Boyle? And not one of these people has died?
I'm bracing myself for and update on Jennifer Lopez's age and whether or not she deserves to be left alone.

That profile is of course not overall funny (at all), but the 'I just need to let some arrows fly' bit made me laugh out loud! He sounds like an overall decent guy. I wish men's rights' activists would get up in arms about how we encourage men to be emotionally repressed and therefore make it that much harder for them to talk about being sexually assaulted.

He expanded his repertoire, and was really good, in Gods and Monsters, and then I really don't think I saw him until last season's The Affair. He seems like a very likable person, and I wish they had made some more of those Mummy movies with him and Rachel and ... the other guy.... names....
Hope he gets to a better place.

Good for guys like Brendan Fraser and Terry Crews for speaking out about this stuff happening to them. I wasn't sure about the FX show about the Getty kidnapping because I'm not a Hilary Swank fan, but I'll give it a go. Brendan Fraser will definitely be a huge improvement over Mark Wahlberg, that's for sure.
It was interesting read about all the injuries he suffered doing years of action movies. It reminded me of hearing Daniel Craig listing each new injury/surgery/reconstruction after each Bond film he did. That can really take a toll, no matter how much you're being paid.

He does seem like a thoughtful, decent guy.
He has a son with autism and he saves horses. I hope he has more success. Being a walking punch-line can't be easy even if it's made you rich.

One of my original WBCs. (White-Boy crushes) Sigh. He was so dreamy.
I paid actual money to see Encino Man in the theater. And I say without any hedging, or sarcasm, that Bedazzled is one of the best goddamn movies I've ever seen in my life. Criminally underrated, and also a movie that I paid money to see in the theater. The Mummy was also amazing and had great humor and eye candy.
I hate what he went through, and hope he recovers and has an amazing life going forward.

He always seemed like such a nice guy. I hope his career picks up and he gets to a good place -- I always thought he had plenty of talent.
