I don't really follow the Disney or Nick kids, but even I've read rumors that Demi has been troubled for a long time. Hope Demi will be all right.

All I know of Demi Lovato is the episode of Mall Cops where there were a bunch of irresponsible parents allowing their kids to behave like this and even encouraging it. There was mass hysteria over her appearance at Mall of America. I had no idea she was so popular. Between her own Dina Lohan type mom and all this ridiculous unwarranted adulation it's no wonder whatever problems she had were magnified. I can't imagine being a teenage girl and dealing with these nutcases slobbering all over you. In some ways these idiotic kind of fans can actually enhance self loathing. I feel so bad for kids like Demi who are stuck on this merry go round of crazy all for the sake of their moms reliving their youth.

I like Demi, she's very talented (although her singing can be a little shouty). I took my sister to see her here at the mall a couple months ago, it was a riot, the kids were out of control. She was very gracious to everyone though.

Joe Jonas is a serious ass for flaunting his relationship on a tour with his ex-girlfriend. And it was always very obvious that Demi was WAY more into him than he was into her.

I've been hearing rumors about her issues for a few years now. She hangs out with Jeffree Star and that cokehead crowd. Her mom is a stage/pageant mom so I'm not surprised she's the first of that crowd to head to rehab (and here everyone thought it would be Miley!).

Miley might have benefitted from having her Hannah Montana alter ego. I really think the adulation given to these Disney stars is unhealthy all around. Is Joe Jonas the one Taylor Swift wrote a song about or is it another Jonas?

Yeah, that was Joe. He infamously broke up with Taylor in a 27 second phone call. Though to be fair, she hung up on him as soon as he got the words out and then continued to milk the relationship and fall out to this day.

Oh, I remember when Demi and Joe were going out, and Demi admitted to watching fanmade Demi/Joe youtube videos. (Paraphrased: "I thought it was all in my head, but then I watched some Jemi videos and thought that maybe I wasn't the only one who felt this way...") I remember thinking, Girl, what are you doing? You just don't admit in public to watching cheesy fanmade videos. You just don't, that's all.

And over Joe Jonas, of all people! These girls need to get some better taste, stat.
