She is just so unpleasant. I’ve disliked her since she shit all over Taylor Swift for donating $25k to Ke$ha’s legal expenses, and in turn supported Ke$ha by...angrily tweeting about Taylor Swift.

There's something quite perverse about someone who almost died from a mass overdose of cocaine, heroin and alcohol getting so worked up about what other people might like to put inside their bodies.

The whole "do better" was so snotty and judgy. Like, way to put a small business on blast to your couple million followers. Demi isn't the only person guilty of this because, more often than not, many tend to center themselves and take everything personally. Some people, like her, need to learn that not everything is about them.

She's exhausting. And threatening the shop in DMs? Not cool no matter what. link

Am I the only one who wishes that the shop had only responded with "Sorry, not sorry"?
I wouldn't be surprised to hear she'll be entering a treatment facility in the near future.

I love this type of celebrity behavior.
I hope she's helping kill multiple expressions I can't stand. "Do better" is obnoxious and has always has been, and she really brought out the stupid self-righteousness of it. Feeling "triggered" is almost always employed by people making a huge deal out of nothing, who are under the misconception that they have the right to go through life never so much as seeing anything that they personally dislike.
I would also like to stop hearing about "The [something] culture". The diet culture, the cancel culture, the hookup culture, all of it.
What's especially funny to me is that I have never seen sugar-free baked goods marketed as "diet" food. That is because they are not necessarily lower in calories than regular baked goods and are truly just intended for consumption by diabetics. She threw a fit because she walked past a specialty product in a store.
Should I flip out the next time I walk into a restaurant that lists calories on their menus? Because it mildly dampens my enjoyment of splurge foods when I am reminded of the calories. And if something bothers me in any way, even mildly, then it's wrong.

And if something bothers me in any way, even mildly, then it's wrong. I'm going to "I'd like to speak to the manager" next time I want a pizooki and can't enjoy it without having to see it's like 2,000 calories! Do better, restaurants. Another expression I hate? My (fill in the blank) journey. Great, you started working out and eating better--that doesn't make it a fitness journey.

Another expression I hate? My (fill in the blank) journey. Great, you started working out and eating better--that doesn't make it a fitness journey. It is a journey if you need to brand a sequence of blog, vlog or social media posts about it! #mywellnessjourney #swipeupforcode Isn't it ableist and stigmatizing for a froyo shop NOT to cater to every single eating restriction people might have? What about impoverished people with celiac disease living in food deserts who go all the way to a froyo shop for a cookie and then can't have one? What about people with nut-allergic diabetics who just want to eat some sugar-free nut-free pistachio froyo and then feel like freaks when there isn't any? What about lactose intolerant vegans who are triggered by the thought of dairy, who are forced by the dairy-normative culture to specify they want the soy version instead of being asked? It's about kindness, Demi. Educate yourself. Do better.

It has come to my attention that Demi likely freaked out over seeing Lenny & Larry cookies. I wouldn’t call them a “diet” cookie. They do have a decent amount of fiber and protein but the calorie count is along the lines of your average protein bar. I’ve had these for breakfast on the go.
She put out a “Sorry you guys misconstrued my words,” video and, apparently, sugar free things were her safe foods when she was engaging in her disordered eating. Having foods that are considered safe to eat is a common behavior for people that have an eating disorder. However, safe foods vary from person to person. For Demi it was sugar free treats. For others it is fruit. This is why Demi’s demands for restaurants to provide a safe space for people with eating disorder by not serving trigger foods is not possible.
Maybe I’m being harsh but this feels like she knows she has problems but doesn’t want to do the work to learn how to manage them. She would rather cater to her whims. I have a feeling this is why she struggles to maintain relationships.

There is literally no bandwagon Jameela Jamil won't jump on... I am sort of shocked she didn't claim to be diabetic herself. LMAO, so spot on.
