The Demi stans Twitter war has begun. They are reaaaally laying into Joe and Ashley. I feel bad for Demi, but they should let karma handle this and just support Demi.

Demi Lovato: Details of the Fight that Sent Her to TreatmentI love how they don't elaborate on what sort of "partying" was going on. Somehow I doubt they were ordering pizza and making prank calls. And while we're talking about safety and comfort in the workplace, what about the poor dancer who was physically attacked by Demi? I don't care what she did or didn't say. I'm guessing that Demi, her parents, and managers were scared that the dancer would end up pressing charges or something, hence the rush to get her into "treatment."

Those were my thoughts exactly as I was reading this version of events. What stands out more than anything is that these are just a bunch of kids who are living a lifestyle that they are too young for. Acting on a TV show or in movies is one thing. Doing that AND touring the world with a band and putting on shows night after night AND making public appearances and doing interviews and all the other shit kids like Demi Lovato have to do is far too much. Some of them can handle it and that's fine, but the ones who can't fall hard and that sucks. A parent should know what their child can handle. Unfortunately, some of them don't seem to care.

How does one go into rehab or treatment for "emotional and physical issues"?

They have treatment centers for everything. Even random ONTDers were talking about their stints in rehab for cutting in the Demi posts.

Yeah, if her issues are cutting and bulimia, there are plenty of treatment centers that would deal with that.

I had to see my ex-bf engage in excessive PDA with his new girlfriend, too. Back then we called it "high school".
What is the appeal of this Joe Jonas? He seems gayer than a Christmas tree.

Again, I don't know this girl, but I'm guessing she's in rehab for drugs/alcohol, and the rest is PR spin.
They might get her some outpatient help for cutting/bulimia, but they wouldn't send her away knowing what kind of damage it would do to her rep. Even if she needs it, it probably wouldn't be considered "important" enough to halt the Disney machine. Unless she is suicidal and an immediate threat to herself.
If it was just damage control for the dancer who was attacked, couldn't they just pay her off? I think the "partying" is out of control, and this was the last straw.

Well, the latest gossip/rumor to the story is that Demi apparently found out that Joe was using her for publicity, which sent her around the bend.
You know, I didn't really sympathize much with the idea of Demi having to see Ashley and Joe together on tour, but this did make me feel sorry for her. I've occasionally been paranoid before that someone had ulterior motives for being nice to me, and if I found out that someone was using me like that, I'd be a wreck too.
Still can't wrap my head around all these girls being hot for Joe though. Then again, this is the girl who dated Trace Cyrus.

Lots of teen girls get into hair pulling with other girls they think gossiped about them - it's part of the lunacy of being a teenager. So why the rehab? I don't think reahb can be used as a excuse to get out of paying damages if the dancer sues her, more likely it helps make their case, IMO.
The really sad thing to me is that her parents knew she was emotional, knew she was fragile to the point of cutting herself, and yet they still keep her on the "fame as a career path" track. They should have yanked her out of the business the minute she started with the mood swings... Why is this girl not living in some podunk town in the midwest somewhere, where she can just be a normal girl with a normal boyfriend?
