These are same the parents who have Demi's younger sister being the object of repeated fat insults on national television (she plays Carlos and Gabby's daughter on Desperate Housewives). There's not a lot of great judgment happening in that family.

Lots of teen girls get into hair pulling with other girls they think gossiped about them - it's part of the lunacy of being a teenager. So why the rehab? I don't think reahb can be used as a excuse to get out of paying damages if the dancer sues her, more likely it helps make their case, IMO. Heh. Sounds like a stunt used by the deposed head to the Philadelphia Housing Authority, who hid checked himself into rehab when the$#%@ hit the fan pressures from his IRS debt and sexual harassment charges lodged against him were mounting- that is, running and hiding instead of dealing with the embarrassment and whatever consequences are coming. |

Why is this girl not living in some podunk town in the midwest somewhere, where she can just be a normal girl with a normal boyfriend? I sort of have mixed feelings on this. Because I don't think this is a Britney-type situation necessarily. I think Demi is actually talented and fairly smart. I'm not entirely sure that she'd be better off away from the spotlight. I think her issues would still be there and she might additionally be unhappy not getting an opportunity to perform. She's not being forced out there and sleepwalking through her performances. I think she legitimately loves singing. Best thing that could come out of this might be Disney dropping her and allowing her some room to breathe and actually express herself creatively, rather than through drugs/cutting/lashing out. |

I feel so old because I don't really have a clue WTF all these people are. I see their threads pop up here over and over again and still wouldn't recognise any of them if I fell over them in the street. What I do know, though, is that all of them seem to be lacking in a parent to tell them "no" every once in a while and actually send them to school. These are the same parents who'll be whining a few years down the line about how Hollywood's destroyed their precious darlings. Will and Jada, take note.

She's 18 and in a country with presumably normal liquor laws and likely dance clubs and other places 18 year olds like to go so no great shock that she went out at night with her friends- why are the adults on the tour being so weirdly controlling? There is either a lot more to this story or they've locked her up in some basement to reprogram her.

I think it's pretty clear reading between the lines that there was probably more than drinking going on. There have been rumors that she does coke for awhile now. And I do think the eating disorder and cutting and her general mental state are all real issues and not a smoke screen. If you followed her even casually on sites like ONTD, it was obvious this was coming. It was just a matter of when.

Someone tweeted that Demi supposedly has been dating Wilmer Valderrama since May. Has anyone else heard this? I haven't heard that, but Valderrama seems to have a taste for jailbait, so it's entirely possible. What is he, 35? |

He's 30. But she's barely 18, so really - same difference. I guess he has a type. Young and messed up. Mandy Moore being the exception on that last thing.

I thought Wilmer shacking up with Lindsay Lohan was tawdy and tacky - and my side eye was directed at him. Not so much after finding out how messed up LiLo turned out to be. Somehow I find the idea of Demi hooking up with Wilmer less skeevy thank hooking up with Bieber. |
