I like him because not only is he gorgeous, reminiscent of a young Paul Newman, but he's also the son of hippie progressive types and is obviously proud of them and the stands they've taken on various issues over the years.

All I have to say is that he is *THE* only age-appropriate crush I have. And given the other men I drool over, that's quite a big deal and feat. What Pierce Brosnan was for me from Age 12 onwards (and to this day still actually), Josh Lucas is now. He could say the stupidest thing and I'd still just focus on his lips. Or face, or bonestructure, or body. The man could play in Pee Wee's Playhouse, and I'd go see it.
In all honesty, he's one of the few men who would tempt me to be an insane, cheap, slutty groupie. That puts him in a select group of people limited to Sean Bean, Pierce, Alan Rickman and Jeremy Irons.

link No Tom, it ain't just the media. After Troy and Poseidon Wolgang Petersen should not be trusted with any more big budget movies, period. And, I may be the only one 'cause everyone is talking about the Paul Newman resemblance, but I think he looks a lot like Ralph Fiennes, more so than Paul. JoshRalphPaul

While I do think that Josh Lucas is a good-looking man, I think it says a lot that I'd much rather drool and comment over that picture of Paul that plus just posted! Yummmmmm.
JL just doesn't get me fired up like young Mr. Newman does.

I was gonna say. They are all very good looking men, but no one can top the sexiness of Mr. Newman in my eyes, at least no one in H/W today. I said it before that I always go back and forth between Newman and Brando as far as the absolute alpha male in cinematic history, but I'm getting more and more convinced that Paul is the one.
Sorry, off topic. Carry on with Josh.

Right on surreal! Like I said, totally sponge-worthy.
Has anyone here seen this flick??? Is it really a dog?

I'm going to see it next weekend. I heard it didn't topple MI:3 which is a shame.

I saw it. Way, way, way better than the reviews. Not great but of the three of us who saw it together, no one could understand why it was totally panned. There was some painfully bad dialogue in the beginning and two times it seemed like they edited out something important by mistake, but it was a perfectly fine action movie with good suspense, nobody too annoying and a not-irritating ending.
Are Josh Lucas's eye really that blue?

I just saw Poseidon and spent about an hour and a half watching this guy run around playing hero. My question: what's the big deal about him?
Emmy Rossum's bf was *way* hotter.
The movie was ok.
