Baz Luhrmann is a fucking idiot. I suspect that if he were a woman, he would not be given the time of day, let alone multi-million dollar financing ..
Love this novel, btw.

As much as I give a pass to Baz Luhrmann for his first two movies, I think he should find another classic book for film adaptation. This has disaster written all over it. IMHO, the film G, a modern interpretation with an African American cast was probably the most interesting version. |

OOOOOOOh! My daughter (and I - because Jesus didn't give me helicopter blades for nothing!) just finished reading this for her English class. She had to write an essay and chose the topic of why Nick was such a dildo for just sitting back and watching his friends eff up each others lives. Can't wait to see Gatsby's flaming pink suit (it's the lastest Oxford fashion, old sport!) and rainbow colored shirts!

I love this book and like some of Baz's other stuff. I don't understand why this needs to be in 3D, though. Daisy will be annoying enough in 2D.
