I keep seeing Choice Hotel ads, playing "On the Road Again" and how they are here getting America back and I feel like they are speaking to me from another dimension. Who the F is taking road trips/traveling for fun right now?

You know, sometimes the Charmin bears go too far. Do I really need to watch the tween bear dig at his asshole and rub his ass all over the furniture because his not-clean-enough poopy butthole itches?

Who the F is taking road trips/traveling for fun right now? I sadly know of far too many people that are taking road trips both state-wide and nation-wide. It's outrageous. Not to mention them meeting up with friends and relatives all over the country during their stops. That must be the idiotic bunch that Choice Hotel is catering to.

Who the F is taking road trips/traveling for fun right now? My not-so-bright step-niece and her Trump supporter husband*. Not only that, but THIS week (the road trip was last month) they got on a plane and went to Arizona. And they're still planning on going to Hawaii in two months. Oh, and did I mention she was pregnant? I swear, some people have no common sense. *I only mention he's a Trump supporter because I suspect they both think the virus is mainly a hoax perpetuated by the Left. She's posted some very questionable things on her IG that need me to this conclusion.

Some commercials I really wonder how they got approved - there is a Diet Coke commercial running on Hulu that’s all, “Some people say Diet Coke is for nerds!” and starts with some girl giving her friend shit for drinking the “nerd” beverage of choice. The commercial cuts to “nerds” playing D&D in some basement while the voiceover says that nerds are actually cool because they are smart and invent things and solve problems.
Okay, but since when was Diet Coke strongly identified with nerds? Especially since the nerds in question are largely white males who mostly saw diet soda as something for women until more recent years and their only “diet” beverage was light beer.
Maybe I’m missing something, but if I would identify any soda with D&D playing nerds, it would be Mountain Dew.

If I’m not mistaken, the woman in the John Stamos GEICO commercial is also in the Pepperidge Farm Milano cookie ad when she tells her daughter she’s on the phone with the tooth fairy. Both ads came on during the same commercial break recently. Good for her!
