Yeah, I agree. Her first album had more variety, but was still about being in love with someone who doesn't love you back/love you the most. Then the second one came out, and I was like, "Girl, you seem cool, but your songs about love and love not working out just reek of low self-esteem. It's hurting my ears at this point."
I'm fine with an album being about a breakup, but when the majority of your two-album career is about it not working out? It just gets redundant.
Who knows, it might work for her though. The woman thwarted oeuvre certainly worked out of Kelly Clarkson.

Aren't most popular songs about love? Finding it, enjoying it, losing it.
I predict Rolling in the Deep will win the Grammy for Single of the Year, and Adele takes New Artist.

She won Best New Artist in 2009 when she released her first album. But I think you are right, "Rolling in the Deep" is going to win every Grammy its eligible for.

But most artists sing on a range of love topics, so to speak. Hers are all about the point where the relationship is definitely not working out/is over. Personally, to me her songs all sound the same lyrically speaking. And I am saying this as someone who at one point liked her a lot. I guess I just want to see her spread her wings a little bit in terms of song subject matter.

I think her songs are mostly good. I love Rolling in the Deep. Someone Like You is kinda boring. I can't believe she thought it was a good idea to sit down the entire time in the Rolling in the Deep video, though. I dislike the quote about giving up her singing/career if the guy from Album #2 took her back. A lot. I dislike the smoking. I dislike it when people who make their livelihood out of singing can't be bothered to learn how to sing properly.

I love RitD and SLY, but this song is my favorite. Get well, Miss Adele!

Like, way back when I had cigarette three times a year, my voice and lungs would be TRASHED the next day. I get that I am sensitive, but that shit is not good for you, no matter how hearty you are. So it makes me furrow my brow when I hear that people with awesome voices like Adele and Lady Gaga smoke. At least Christina Aguilera is super protective of her pipes (though she probably is ripping her voice to shreds with the over singing).
