Setting up a Vegas residency. Not surprised at all, she has probably travelled everywhere and with her son in school it makes sense.

I think she's great live. Amazing singer but her personality is delightful. I would definitely go to Vegas to see her but I'm saving for a trip to HI.

Add me to the chorus of I Don't Get Her Appeals. She is, in my opinion, the blandest so-called blue-eyed soul singer ever, and sorry, but where is the soul? I don't see it. Chop.

I agree. I think she's kind of boring and don't get it. (She's no Celine.)

Speaking of Celine does she still have her Las Vegas residency, aren’t Adele and Celine big fans of each other
I don’t know if they could pop in to each other’s show occasionally

Oh see, I prefer Adele to Celine. I saw Adele in concert and she is a lot of fun. And her voice sounds great live.

I vastly prefer Adele to Celine, I really enjoy Adele's personality and prefer her voice as well. She does seem a bit less wacky than she used to be, her earliest interviews are a hoot.

I respect Celine tremendously for everything that she has accomplished over such a long career, and her voice is unparalleled. I do generally prefer Adele’s music as between the two (but that may be just because I am most familiar with Adele’s songs).
And because I unfairly maligned Adele upthread about the “shuffle tracks” issue, I feel compelled to say something extra nice about her: she appeared on NikkieTutorials’ YouTube channel today to do a “Power of Makeup” segment, and it was delightful. If you have a half hour to kill, it is worth a watch. (Adele appeared without any makeup, then Nikkie did just half of Adele’s face in full glam makeup to show the difference.) Adele looks so young and fresh-faced without any makeup: she really looked great. And she really does have a fun personality: she doesn’t come across as phony or anything like that.

I don't get her appeal. To me she's just another White female singer with a big voice. If she were Black, no one would care about her.

I am biased because I still love Amy Winehouse (may her memory be a blessing), and Adele was kind of in the mix of the Amy clones that came out in Amy's wake (Joss Stone, Duffy, etc.), so I always found her music a wan imitation of better "blue-eyed" soul singer (Dusty Springfield, R.I.P.), although it was nice to have a full-figured woman be a big star in pop music. “Rolling in the Deep”, however, is a really good karaoke song choice!
