I really liked the premiere. It was fast paced enough to keep my attention but not so dramatic that the rest of the season will be a letdown. The acting was fantastic all around, and the scene with the parents finding out about Rosie tore me up.
My prime suspects right now are the teacher and the councilman's girlfriend. I'll be irked if it turns out her dad killed her, as that would be way too Twin Peaksian.

Really like it so far, the last moments of the episodes remind me of 24 for some reason. Speaking of which, great to see Michelle Forbes again, love her.
I bet the politician's girlfriend has something to do with it all, or at least knows more than she's letting on now. Other than that, I have no clue, I'm terrible at guessing these things. I just hope it's not one of the parents. The aunt (?) may have something to do it as well though. I really hated that she asked the mother why she hadn't called her daughter, like, the day after the poor woman found out that one of her children had been murdered.
I have never seen the two lead actors before but liked them a lot, especially her. I like it when they let female characters on TV behave professionally while doing their job.

I also really like this show. My early prediction for the killer is the guy that works at the dad's moving company (played by Brendan Sexton III).

I just watched the repeat of the premier and I really liked it! I'm generally wary of American remakes of foreign series, but this one was intriguing (even if the allusions to Twin Peaks turn me off.)
I have no early predictions, except I don't think it's the Mayoral candidate (too obvious.) Don't think it's the mother, either.

Did anyone watch the show last night? It was good, but I am not sure how much longer I can watch. Every aspect of this is soooo depressing. The mother in the bathtub, "the cage," the cell phone video, all of it so disturbing.

Oddly enough, despite my usual aversion to this much misery, I'm enjoying this and not feeling overly weighed down by all the emotion. That said, I do tend to tear up a bit each episode when the parents are shown. I think they've done a really nice of job of showing the quiet desperation and confusion. I think the cutting in of the different characters/storylines also helps stop it from being too depressing.
Does anyone know what the janitor said to her in the hospital? I just couldn't catch it.

Suekel, after the premiere they did an extended preview for the series and I thought I spotted Charles Widmore (Alan Dale).
I think that janitor said "el diablo" which helped Sarah spot the kid in the devil mask on the video.

Oooh, you are absolutely right. Now that you mention it I recall saying "Is that Widmore!?!" during the preview.
Thanks - I am a huge Lostie and got all excited when you mentioned it.

I wonder if it's the friend in the wig in the video rather than Rosie. Seems like it's a little too obvious that it would be Rosie.
I'm also wondering if Billy campbell's gf set that staffer up.
