I used to find her pretty bland. Her movies all suck aAnd something about her always bugged me and I couldn't put my finger on it.
All that doesn't matter now since I saw her in Arrested Development. I really liked her character on the show and she seemed so cute and sweet. So I give her a little bit of love.

I think she's just gorgeous (with the exception of the fake-tan overdose era) - and she dresses well too. I loved her butterfly jewellery Oscar dress. She also has legs to die for. I also like the fact that she's not very famewhorey about her personal life. She seems to have a nice happy relationship with Stuart Townsend that she doesn't pimp out at every opportunity. She's also had some major tragedy in her life that she's been fairly circumspect about (well, circumspect by H-Wood standards). Can you imagine if Gwyneth's mother had shot her father or she'd had some kind of proximate calamity in her life? We'd never hear the end of it! |

I really like her. She gave an absolutely incredible performance in Monster, and completely deserved the Oscar. She doesn't seem incredibly exciting, but she does seem very down to earth and humble. She's not a famewhore, which is always a plus. Oh, and the pictures of her smoking pot from an homemade apple bong from a few years ago are funny. Because celebrities smoking pot is always funny.

I think she's really beautiful, most of the time. She seems boring but has chosen mostly interesting projects.
I don't see what so wrong about corporal punishment. Though I'm not sure I can get behind leaving hanger marks on your child's body.

About 8 years ago, I could not differentiate her from the other cherub-cheeked actresses like Ashley Judd and Gretchen Mol. Now that the other 2 have fallen by the wayside, I'm fine with her. Altho, didnt she get in trouble for some racist comment?

It was something about how she made a joke about not wanting to become like Halle Berry after winning her Oscar. Though at that time, Halle did make Gothika and Catwoman so I took it as her trying to choose better roles. Of course, some people can easily twist that into a racist statement, due to her South African background. |
