My apologies if there's already a thread on her, but I looked! Really!
The local paper (The Denver Post) had a blurb on her taking cooking classes with Stuart Townsend, and referred to him as her husband. Have I been asleep at the wheel? I don't recall hearing that they had gotten married.

She's like Cameron Diaz to me- sometimes she looks gorgeous, sometimes I think she looks kind of puffy and very ordinary.
I'm sad for her that her Oscar night will always be the night she put on too much self tanner.

I don't think she's really that pretty, unless she's got on lots of makeup and has the right lighting. Kind of like Gwyneth Paltrow. I haven't seen her in very many movies. Was she in "Cider House Rules?" If so, she did look good in that. But in any candid photos I've see, she doesn't look so hot.

Saw her at the MONSTER premiere in Toronto and she is holy shit gorgeous up close. My opinion of course.

She looks like Marilyn Monroe here. As for personality, I think she's a bit cold myself.

In my opinion, she is absolutely gorgeous and a really good actress as well. I have never seen her looking bad (well except for that orange tan) except in Monster.

Did anyone else read her interview in this month's Marie Claire? I couldn't believe some of the things she said. I always thought it was sweet that she's so close to her mom, but now I think they're both pyscho. Here's a link to scans of the article, but I'll quote the most WTF parts right here: She goes on to say that this was all ok because it made her respect her mother. God, it just makes me sick. You know some nutjob's going to read this article and use it as justification for hitting their kid. And you know what, Charlize? It does happen in America! All the time. Stupid twit.

That's sad. There are other (and much better) ways to discipline children, though it's probably more satisfying for the pissed off parent than making a kid sit in a corner or talking about it.
Otherwise, Charlize sort of bores me as a celebrity, but I tend to like her when she pops up in films. She's pretty and a decent actress. Eh.

Has anyone seen The Astronaut's Wife? That's gotta be one of the worst movies ever.

I find her boring too. I think she is pretty but nothing special. She really doesn't stand out.
