Lucas Black was the only good part of that movie. I love his accent and him in general. The plot was bananas though.

Pretty good movie, a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Nice to see Gina Carano.

I thought Fast Five was just a little better but this was still pretty entertaining and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I don't know how they top the action scenes next time around. The audience went nuts for the final teaser scene!

Yes, the next movie should be interesting. I would see this and Star Trek again.

I saw this and Iron Man 3 this weekend and I thought this was the better movie. These movies are so geniunely entertaining. And I love how diverse this cast is. Something the Marvel universe (and Joss Whedon) could take a note on. As for the teaser: Jason Statham is the bad guy's brother right?

Funny you mention the cast being so diverse because I saw an article on yahoo that that is the reason for its success as Latinos, Asians, Blacks and women have been the audience. Yet Hollywood still does not get the clue that they need to include more diversity. It would help with ticket sales.

I remember when I saw the first movie in the series while in college, we were the only girls in the theatre. Now about half of the fan base is female and put me in the camp that likes how diverse the cast has become.

I saw it last night. A little too over-the-top actiony for me (there were a few scenes where I just stopped trying to follow what was happening), but I love so many features of this franchise as it's developed: -the diversity -the camaraderie of the "team" -how I suspect that they're deliberately embracing the HoYay (remember that?) -how the male characters are often goofy and sentimental, and the female characters are tough without it being their defining trait -how I can be good-naturedly rolling my eyes for most of the movie, then suddenly tear up when something sad happens
I really think the evolution of this franchise, what it has become, is kind of fascinating.
I'm a little sad that Vin Diesel is losing the hotness, though. He is not my type at all, but I've always found him so attractive (I think it's the voice and the knowing attitude). When is the next Riddick coming out?? :-)
