Just saw it and honestly the ending aside, I enjoyed other installments in the franchise more.

Just saw it and honestly the ending aside, I enjoyed other installments in the franchise more. Yeah, I have to agree. I enjoyed Furious 7, I'm always up for ridiculous car chases and the movie didn't disappoint in that department. I also thought they handled Paul Walker's loss very, very well. But... I think Fast Five was pretty much the perfect F&F movie with 6 running a close second. It's unfortunate that for both real-life and in-story reasons, the main crew has been whittled down so much.

There was just too much going on, too many baddies too many stories to tell.

I think they need to end it here, because they're getting too busy. Pick a bad guy, already!

I read this franchise makes the most $ for its company so if they can milk another one out of the actors they will. I thought this one was kinda silly & sad, the stunts were beyond the usual OTT zaniness and the dialogue was literally recycled from other movies. "It's about family"--I get it, Vin Diesel, Jesus!
I always crushed on Paul Walker, so it was tough watching this (apparently his brothers took over for Dubai & end scenes). I think this should just end it.

Yea, there was something off on this movie. I can still remember watching the trailer for the first movie in the theatre and it was me and my friend crushing on Paul that made us see that first movie. Nothing to do with Vin.

I remember being pleasantly surprised by Fast Five. That would've been a great way to go out with a bang but a bang just means Hollywood will milk it till the series' very last bit of goodwill is gone.

I disagree. It shouldve ended wjth 6 due to them getting their freedom and them finally linking Tokyo Drift to the series.

I really enjoyed 6, but I don't know if I needed the plot to catch up with Tokyo Drift. Alas, poor Han and Gisele.
I was telling a friend of mine about seeing 7. She had just seen 6 and was like "there's this unbelievable scene where Vin Diesel crashes his car and catches somebody in midair!" And I had to tell her, uh... that was like arthouse realism compared to Furious 7.

I think the midair catch is what caused me my heaviest sigh of the series. I love the series "everything wrong with [movies]" on youtube, the narrator is constantly chalking up how much paralysis, brain damage and overall death every character should've suffered by now.
