It was really great seeing Beverly again. ITA! She is all kinds of badass. Apparently she has an album out now that I must check out - she's the only one from last year that I would actually spend money on. Altho I do like the song CeeLo and Vicci performed, I don't think I'd open my wallet for a whole album of her stuff. Beverly is another story.

I have a bunch of her songs of her new and older albums and they are great. I love "When you Smile for Me" and "I Will Never Forget". I also have some of Vicci's stuff. They are by far my faves. This season has been so disappointing. I actually like Australia and UK's versions much better.

Forgot to mention that I too enjoyed seeing Beverly the other night. Her passion and energy just always comes through. That night I went and purchased her album on iTunes. On iTunes the write-up of the album said something to the effect of, she didn't receive a major label contract but received financial backing to make the album. It made we want to support her even more. She worked hard and got her album out anyway.

I would loooove to see her perform live, her energy and passion for what she does is incredible.

Beverly appeals to me because she's an old broad that refuses to give up being a rocker. So the pairing with Cyndi Lauper was brilliant (although Cyndi's exuberance made her really pitchy), because she's also an old broad that refuses to give it up. Rock on, you HBICs!

I never vote on this show and have been kinda of "eh" on this season, but I just threw a bunch of votes to Chris and Jermaine, just because Adam pissed me off with his douchey behavior.
LOL that Cee-Lo changed into that "No Problems" t-shirt after Adam and Christina's snitfest. It has to be uncomfortable for him and Blake to be be stuck in the middle of that crap. Oh, and Adam: I don't think "metaphor" means what you think it means.

I don't vote either, but damn if I wasn't tempted to buy everyone's except Tony's songs tonight. I cannot believe the songs Adam & Tony chose. Good on Christina for calling out the misogyny. I'm sick of men (and boys, like the Wanted) thinking it's okay to call her a bitch. It's not.
Loved Jermaine's rendition of "I can fly". Love the song, so I really wasn't expecting him to do well by it, but he surprised me.
Too bad Juliet was sick tonight. She could have won it all.
eta: Correcting her name. That's what I get for watching Murder, She Wrote this late.

Instead, he chose that song with Adam. Oh, and for all the big deal made about his version of "Baby One More Time", I liked it about a zillion times more when Travis did it. Yeah, it's really too bad that Juliet wasn't in her best voice tonight. I loved her version of "Oh! Darling" in the blind auditions. I'm a sucker for "I Believe I Can Fly", too, but Jermaine really moved me with his performance.

The kids on ONTD were cracking up when Tony forgot the words to that Maroon 5 song. How do you forget your mentor's song? Adam looked pissed. I thought it served him right.
