Melanie was not very good last night, and I usually like her. If two people get the boot tonight, I hope it's her and Cassadee, whom I have never liked (she'd good, but generic). I still think Nicholas David is the bomb.com and he killed both songs last night. I also thought Amanda was awesome. I have liked her all along, but last night I loved her.

I thought ND was just awful with September. If you're going to sing that song, any song really, you have got to sing the chorus! I wonder if Cee-Lo would have done anything differently if he had been at the rehearsal. The guy from Train appeared to be helpful with ND's other song, though, since he suggested he stick with the original melody. I hate when great songs are changed up to the point where they are ordinary unrecognizable.
I used to like Melanie strictly for her star potential, but I've grown so tired of her. Every week it's the same thing, and when she went just a little out of her comfort zone by trying to be sweet and positive with her last song, it was uncomfortable to watch. This girl is sad and plaintive and enjoys every minute of being that way. At least she will until she grows out of it. She seemed to perk up when Christina suggested she go in a different direction and sing something like Fiona Apple's Criminal. Based on Melanie's voice alone this could work, but no way can she pull off sultry and sexy. At her age that would actually be a little creepy.

Yeah, and it's not really a singer's song, so - sabotage? Do they think he's not marketable and want him out? That's the problem with giving these people songs ... you can really F them up with some duds.

I am horrible person because I am so full of schadenfreude over Team Adam having both of his team members going home tonight. I liked Amanda through "Dream On" but haven't enjoyed her since then and Melanie makes me nuts. I am guessing Cassadee wins this walking away now, but then again I thought Juliet was going to win last season. It's pretty hard for a woman to win these singing shows in the past few seasons.

Yeah, she was very smiley and cutesy while singing about suffering for her sins. Didn't work AT ALL. Ellie Goulding might have been a better bet, but it's too late now. Even though Melanie started to annoy me as a performer, I didn't dislike her as a person. She's just a kid pretending to be an adult, and she was gracious and very adult-like in her loss.
I agree that Cassadee will probably win, whatever that means with this show. She had an advantage going in with a built in fan base, and now she's considering country as an option if the pseudo-rocker thing doesn't work out. This chick does not want to go away. Even if she doesn't win The Voice, she's not going to give up on a music career any time soon.

I don't get the Cassadee hype at all. But I'm kinda glad she won because I think Cee-Lo will definitely sign Nicholas to his label. And I think Terry will have a career too. I could see Blake helping him out the way he's helping RaeLynn. Who by the way, I also don't get because I find her voice awful. When she performed the other night, I had to fast forward the whole thing. My ears were in pain!

I'm not surprised - they're always pushing for a marketable, cute, young gal who can be a Taylor-ish star. I thought she was just super boring.
I was pulling for Terry, and his duet with Peter Frampton was pretty cool. Terry has a very pretty soft voice that we rarely heard. They always had him belting at the top of his lungs. Ahh well, I think he probably needs a band. And I'm afraid Nicholas might be stuck doing little clubs.
Did Christina shave her head or something? She's been wearing some pretty bad Halloween wigs - bad even for her.
This show has given me a tremendous crush on Adam and Blake (and Adam and Blake together - hey now). So I'm glad they'll still be there. Adam without a shirt - yowza. How the hell do you get that body?
Oh, and their tribute to the shooting victims the other night? Almost an ugly cry.

Me too. I really wanted him to win because he seems the least likely to have a big future ahead of him. Failing Nicholas winning, I wanted Terry to win because his future in the music business is far from guaranteed, though it's still possible he might find a place somewhere. Cassadee (I hate that spelling! Reminds me of chickadee) was the one who needed the win the least. I think she's set when it comes to connections and fans, and if she doesn't find success it will be nobody's fault but hers.
She must have something in the works for her upcoming tour. Maybe she's rocking some multicolor cornrows and wants it to be a surprise. So does anyone still believe that the other judges, especially Adam, can't stand Christina? They seem to genuinely like her...well, if not like her, accept her for the kook she is. I for one will miss her (though it's no secret I'm a fan). I'm not looking forward to Shakira and Usher. They seem very bland and boring to me.

I think they all had trouble with her in the first season. Christina was struggling to figure out how to get attention and not be weird and rude. She's improved greatly, so it's too bad she's leaving now that she's finally got the hang of it!
I won't miss Cee Lo. He was goofy with the cats and birds and all, but he never really said more than a few weird comments to the singers. And the icky stories about him really turned me off.
