She must have something in the works for her upcoming tour. Maybe she's rocking some multicolor cornrows and wants it to be a surprise. So does anyone still believe that the other judges, especially Adam, can't stand Christina? They seem to genuinely like her...well, if not like her, accept her for the kook she is. I for one will miss her (though it's no secret I'm a fan). I'm not looking forward to Shakira and Usher. They seem very bland and boring to me. I know next to nothing about Usher, but Shakira is definitely not boring or bland. She is a complete kook and she is always saying bizarre stuff in her interviews. I think we'll get less onscreen drama from Shakira and more weirdness. Christina has never struck me as a kook. She is just bitchy. I do think Shakira is going to have the same issues Christina has had with getting contestants to pick her though when more than 1 judge turns around. And Christina hasn't cancelled her tour yet? That's surprising. Her album sales are horrendous and her two singles aren't doing well.

Good to know about Shakira. I don't think I've seen her in an interview in like 5 years since she's been under the radar for a while. I guess she just kind of looks boring to me.

I'm sad Terry didn't win, because, well, I felt he was the most talented of all of them. From his Blind Audition, he blew me away. I hope he finds his place and has a stellar career. margojata, The Tribute WAS an ugly cry for me. I think my eyes may STILL be swollen.

I tune in for the blind audition rounds (which I think aren't all that blind). After that I get bored and rarely watch. I couldn't care less what happens to most of the contestants after the show...or during the show really.
Blake and Adam staying, good. I like them. I won't miss Christina or C-Lo because I thought they thought the show was all about them.
Adam and Blake come off as more giving and sincere in their efforts to help the contestants.
She's knowledgeable and intelligent and taps into her Columbian and Lebonese heritage with her music. I don't think she'll be the empty shell Christina was. I'm looking forward to seeing her and Usher, who I also generally like, on the show.

As a fan of hers, I am thrilled she finally looks boring. She spent years wearing some truly ugly clothing/hairstyles. Looks like she finally got a stylist. The Voice got great ratings this season but it does seem like it has generated a lot less buzz than last season.

I loved Terry -- he blew me away in the blind audition, too, and he was so damn cute with his family -- but I was Team Nicholas David. I hope they both go on to do very well. Cassadee -- eh. I hate the way she spells her name and I think she's bland. She can sing, but there's nothing unique about her. We already have an Avril Lavigne. Once Amanda was out, though, I knew she'd win. She seems like a sweet girl, but I feel like she'd have gone on to have success with or without The Voice so I wanted it more for Terry and Nicholas. (Same for Amanda; while I felt she deserved to win, I have confidence she'll have a career after the show; I'm less so for Terry, even though I think he's crazy talented). Excited about Usher and Shakira; I got sick of trying to decipher Cee Lo's word salad, and Christina bugs me. I love Adam and Blake, though. Blake was totally off my radar before I saw this show, but now I love him (even if country isn't my thing). I loved the montage of him basically flirting with everyone, man or woman, didn't matter. He cracks me up. And then when Carson (I think) asked him about how he felt when he woke up that morning and he said, "Hungover." Why do I believe him?

I agree that Cassadee is good, but kind of a snooze. I am bummed that Nicholas didn't win. He is straight up awesome.
Blake tweeted on Friday, right after the massacre, something like 'this is why more people should carry guns.' That and his homophobic "joke" tweet from a few months ago preclude me from ever being a Blake fan. I'll miss Cee Lo. I heart him.

See, while I think Adam and Blake come across as more likable during the tapings, I found that Christina and Ceelo were the better mentors in the training sessions. So much of this show is about the mentoring process, and I always felt like Christina and Ceelo, despite whatever obnoxiousness they might present during the show, had a wealth of knowledge and were able to pinpoint the contestants' weaknesses and help them improve.

Yep. Hopefully, Usher & Shakira will fill that void.

The Voice is back! And I like the new judge mix, it feels more like some celebrity poker match... they're just betting on voices instead of cards. I've never seen the appeal of Usher, but I can see where he can be charismatic. Shakira is a lot more friendly than Christina. She reminds me more of Adam in season one, determined to hold her own amongst the boys.
So far the contestants are capable, but I'm still forwarding through all the personal sob-story shit. I don't care what happened to them in life... just sing, dammit! At this stage I only care about the judges fighting over you.
