I know -- what is UP with that wig? Theresa Giudice is not a fashion role model, people...
I agreed with all the eliminations last night. HGTV and my friend both think the gay/bearded guy (Tyler?) should have stayed. I didn't think so. His voice is very good technically but he didn't put any soul into it. I didn't think Frechie was all that on her first appearance (and I didn't watch A.I.) but she kicked ass last night. Vicci was awesome. Still loving this show! I can't wait to see Beverly and Javier again!

I'm glad Tarralyn's gone too. She sounded a mess on that song (which, as dumb as the song is, it's REALLY hard to sing) and her unfortunate makeup, hair and wardrobe choices didn't do her any favors, either. She was overconfident to mask her insecurity, but it showed through in her stank attitude and all that screeching she was doing. Frenchie wasn't intimidated in the least little bit and got up there and sang it.
Love Vicci and LOVED how great she and Nikki sounded. It was funny because Nikki had the R&B voice, but could do a pop/rock song like that and Vicci has the rocker voice but with the soul mixed in, so it was anyone's guess. I think Cee Lo is trying to build a versatile group that can float between pop, rock and r&b (very much like himself) and sing just about anything. Blake on the other hand, seems so far to only want country singers. That will limit the audience's choices later on down the line if everyone in his group sounds the same.

Yeah, Tarralyn's 'tude sucked. And if it's true that one of her family members attacked Christina for not picking her, wow. I LOVE how Vicci and Nikki sang WITH each other instead of the catfight (Tarralyn vs Frenchie), competition (Tyler vs Patrick) and blah (Casey vs Tim) we saw. I also loved how they hugged in the end. I am a Vicci fan, she is incredible. I've been YouTubing her and she is a great overall performer. But I did enjoy Tim and Casey's voices together, the duet was great. I like Tim and I've YouTubed him too and he is very good. It would be awesome if the show brought back 3 eliminated performers for another shot, I think Tim, Nikki and Tyler deserve it. I can't wait for Beverly! I think Christina's team is pretty weak save for her and Frenchie. I hope Beverly, Tje and Javier stay, they are too good to be eliminated.

I couldn't watch the show but I saw the segment with Frenchie and I'm so happy she slam-dunked it. She actually can be off technically (think about the Band of Gold she did with Kim Locke on AI; Kim was technically better) but Frenchie just has that extra... sparkle or something that comes across when she sings. ANYTHING. I flove her!

I read an article on it a few days ago. The family member confronted Christina off-camera, off-stage. I think she/he attempted to grab her & she called security.

Tarralyn is a singer, whereas Frenchie is a performer. Her nerves weren't apparent while she was singing and she didn't look like she was in a competition. She really sold that song.
I wonder if Blake was thinking ahead to the voting rounds as a sort of personal tiebreaker when he picked Patrick. I could see Tyler's performances getting old week after week.

Some folks are wondering if Blake's choice of Patrick over Tyler was because of homophobia, given his recent Twitter controversy.[/color] Personally I doubt Blake made his decision because he was a homophobe. I thought Tyler was good but rather predictable, and he didn't put any soul into either of his performances. Plus, Blake's a country singer... I would think that he would want to have at least one traditional country singer on his team.

Although he's cute, Patrick is a pretty generic country singer. I prefer Tyler and thought that he did a great job with "Burning Love", especially considering that the song should've been a slam-dunk for Patrick. Although I do kind of get douche vibes from Blake, I don't know that he was being homophobic in this case. He was just being predictable and boring.

I don't think Blake's decision was homophobia, either. He just was probably the worst person on the judging panel to mentor Tyler. They didn't seem to click personally or professionally.
This round is where the premise of the show breaks down for me. There were a couple of instances in the past two episodes where the judges clearly regretted pushing the button as soon as they saw the contestants, and this was one of them. (The other that sticks out in my mind is Adam Levine and Tim.) While it's supposed to be about picking the better singer, the faceoff round seems designed to let the judges "fix" whatever error they feel they might have made during the blind auditions
