I can't believe this didn't have a thread.
Anyways, the critical and commercial success of the second season caused TPTB/FX to order 3 more episodes which are airing as a kind of miniseries/"movie" Thursdays following Sunny. The first part premiered last night.
Also, I *may* have had my boyfriend play hooky from work yesterday so that I could get him all caught up beforehand. Best of all? We discovered at the liquor store that Tanqueray makes a Vodka called "Sterling" if you want to be as constantly sloshed as the characters.
The "look" of the show is gorgeous and every voice actor is flawless. And, look, Lucille Bluth, you were okay, but Mallory is the drunken, distant mother role that Jessica Walter was born to play.
It's the best workplace comedy on television right now. Seriously.
You guys, each episode is so densely layered with jokes, visual gags, throwaways flying fast and furiously that upon rewatching the entire series within the last week, I found new stuff to laugh about despite having seen them all before. It is, quite simply, the absolute best.
And infinitely, infinitely quotable and so very very un-PC in the most amusing way.

This didn't have a thread? Quelle surprise.
I caught the last bit of the episode last night. Was cracking up. I do love Sterling in all his un-PC ways.

Everything huntergrayson said. Except for the two Ls in "Malory". /pedant
I'm a little bugged that there's a bit of confusion over these three episodes. They're actually the butt end of last season, not the new one, though finding consistent listings online is a lost cause.
Ray Gillette may be the awesomest character on television right now. I need to watch last night's episode again. Everyone alive does. DYING to know what Malory's very long bleep contained. DYING.

Archer's 'The 1930's are calling..." was a thing of beauty.. "be careful of that Hitler fellow, he's a bad egg."

I love this show too. I have hooked my new roommates into it too now. Hee. It is easily the funniest show on TV right now. And bstewart - you are so right: best workplace comedy.

So with David Cross in last night's episode, can "Archer" be the vacation villa for former "Arrested Development" stars? Paging Will Arnett!
Love that Sterling's "seamus" tattoo wasn't a one-episode throwaway.

I've watched the scene where he talks Sterling through the bomb-diffusion lock on Malory's desk about 50 times. "Not a bumble-bee is it... it's like a jack-hammer... is it black?!"
