I never saw them together, I think she took advantage of him while he was devastated by Linda's death, and I don't trust her. I am loathe to say, golddigger, but "She take my money, when I'm in need....."
I admired Linda so much and think that Paul and Linda McCartney were one of the all-time great love stories. So I guess I am biased. But honestly, if I were Heather- that is what I would have a problem with, not that Paul is PAUL FREAKIN MCCARTNEY.

I remember reading stories about fans dissing Linda for not being "attractive" and the jokes about what do you call a dog with wings? Linda McCartney. I never thought she was ugly but my goodness you'd thought he had married someone with a third eye. It sad that it took death to make Linda sympathetic.

I bet Stella McCartney's laughing her ass off right about now! Whoa, why? Didn't she get along with Heather? (I know Heather snubbed her when it came to choosing the designer for her wedding gown, going with with someone else, then claimed to have designed it herself!) I liked Linda much better. She and Paul were just the sweetest, most devoted couple. As for the Linda bashing-I think it started when he broke up with Jane Asher. Everyone thought of Jane as the perfect Beatles Princess, and then Paul married a woman who wasn't as pretty (although I thought Linda was attractive!), who was divorced and a single mom. But hey, of all the Beatles, he was the only one who stayed with his first wife, until the end.

The Beatles all ended up with American women for the long term (American educated Yoko, anyway).
Even a better love story that Linda wasn't a raving beauty, and Paul was the most sought after man ever (the "cute Beatle"). Plus, she never did wear makeup.
I don't know, Heather always felt so cold to me. And she really did look a lot like a young Linda.

I remember seeing a picture of Paul and Linda on their wedding day, falling asleep on the sofa after the ceremony, and his new stepdaughter (what's her name?) cuddled on his lap. It was the sweetest thing.

I guess I don't find this all surprising. I always suspected that Paul married her out of being lonely and devastated over Linda's death. It is pretty common - especially with men who had relationships like the one Paul apparently had with Linda. They just need someone to take away the loneliness.
And yes - I've heard that Stella was never exactly fond of Heather. I always thought it was because she saw Heather as a gold digger or just didn't trust her in general. It seemed like a year or so into the marriage Stella was more willing to play nice, but I'm guessing she isn't exactly shedding tears over this split.

Well, I hated Wings when Linda sang. I always thought Paul was wrong in letting her be in the band. Nepotism at it's finest (until Tori Spelling, that is) But, yeah, they were an amazing love story. Like Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. (Who have been married since 1958!!) Annoying vegetarian preachniess aside, I loved Paul and Linda together. Paul reminds me of my aunt. She was married to my uncle for 30 years, until he died of prostate cancer. After a couple years of mourning, she has found a wonderful man with which to share her retirement years. He's a sweet guy, and I sort of feel like: She started out her life with my uncle, and they shared raising kids, building careers, etc. together. Now she has found a man whom she can live her post-mom life with. (Not that she has ever stopped being a mom, but her daughters are 27 and 24 and living lives of their own.) It's sad to me that my uncle didn't live to see grandkids, but I'm happy for my aunt that she has found someone to share her middle-later life with. Which is how I feel about Paul with Heather, I guess. He was my first ever celeb crush, and I still love, admire, and respect him as much as ever. I wish these two could work it out. [/geeky fan-girl] ETA: prostrate and prostate are NOT one and the same!

So, is it official then? If it is then that's too bad. I have no idea why but for some reason I hoped they would make it.

I'm no Paul expert or anything (okay, I am ) but trust me: I believe they're having problems but I don't believe they'll ever get divorced. He's not the divorce type. Honestly, it just really sounds like Paul to me. He and Linda had their marital problems, but thirty years on people forget. Also, it wasn't in the tabloid era we have going on today. I love him, but Paul is the first to admit he's not the easiest person to live with. Yet I also have to give him credit in that he and Linda did work out their problems, but to quote him "it was bloody hard work." He has a bit of a habit of going off to blow off steam, which I give him credit for, because that's a pretty healthy way to deal with stress all things considered. He didn't used to do that (except to go do blow/get drunk/sleep with other women while he was with Jane Asher), but I think after many years of marriage he learned that sometimes he just needed to go off by himself and chill out instead of making it worse (::cough Beatlesbreakup cough: . The tabs report that the root of their argument wasn't anything major, no cheating or drugs, but that it was a usual married couple argument that got blown out of proportion because she just had surgery. According to "friends" in the tabs, if she wasn't in chronic pain at the moment and frustrated at not being able to really get around they probably wouldn't have had an argument. (Add to that another tabloid "friend" claimed that earlier this year they were trying for a second baby and having trouble - she reportedly miscarried not that long ago). That I believe, since I've been there. I think they'll be fine, because they're not Posh and Becks (where he's cheating) or Charlie and Denise (where he's cheating/doing drugs). ETA: no it's not official, still just tabloid speculation. The Sun says today that they think he's "going to" tell friends and family he's going to ask for a separation, but he doesn't want it to be permanent because he just wants to clear his head. His spokesman never comments on anything private anymore, good or bad, because Paul fired his last spokesman for being an insane cokehead.
