What I find odd is that they are blaming the media for being to intrusive in their lives, therefore making a normal marriage impossible. But wasn't the media more intrusive when Linda was alive? I never hear about Heather and Paul unless she's doing some charity event, but then again the American tabbies don't really write about them. (are they staple fodder in the British tabbies?) Personally, I think that's just the excuse they're latching onto for both their sakes. Privately I bet Paul has realized he rebounded in grief to a flaming idiot, but can't bring himself to admit it publicly (guess I can't blame him for that). And Heather....well, it's pretty clear she married him for status and money and admitting that will kill her charity work. So blaming the media is the convenient excuse and I do believe they know that. I'm just glad they're finally over. I can't stand Heather Mills and Paul really needs to spend time living his life truthfully, for his own sake and the sake of his kids.

I had heard years ago that he was a cheater. And a notorious one at that, but because he is so likeable, no one has outed him really. They say he cheated on Linda constantly, but she looked the other way.
But Heather seems a different story and probably did not put up with it. I remember reading a not so blind vice about a year after their wedding that he was back to his old ways.
And there was only one Linda. She was an exceptional woman, wife and mother.

I never liked Heather. Vanity Fair ran a long article about her and it just confirmed the "sleazy opportunist" vibe I got from her. Yeah, I know it's shady to harsh on the one-legged, but that's the impression of her I had.

I can't remember if I saw the Vanity Fair article (is it anywhere online? I'd love to read that) but I do recall seeing them both on Larry King. Heather was incredibly rude and would not shut up about them being there for HER charity and not to talk to or about Paul. Yet Paul was sitting right there with her and saying nothing in response to that. I wanted to reach through the tv and smack Heather!
It's not rare for disabled people to be capable of being complete assholes, the same way non-disabled people can be assholes. Heather Mills, with leg or without, is a full on loudmouth opportunistic ass. And I don't feel bad for saying so.

I wonder how much this is going to cost him? She was smart enough to have his baby, so he's going to have to pay. At least he didn't die. Can you imagine the battle his others kids would have suffered through?

What? I don't believe this for one second. I've followed his career pretty darn closely, and have never heard even the slightest rumor that he cheated on Linda. I'm quite sure that modern tabs would have outed him in a heartbeat. Plus it would be pretty hard for him to cheat since he and Linda spent basically every waking moment together. They literally spent days apart in the entire marriage.
Like a lot of people I really didn't like Heather, I totally got the user vibe off of her. But in all honestly I adored Linda McCartney so I didn't really figure I was giving her a fair shot. But once they got married I really hoped it would work out for his sake. I feel really bad for him. He's one of those men that is clearly happiest being married. And I really feel for Beatrice.

Spiffsin, I swear I've read it more than once through the years.
As far as Heather goes, I never liked her either. She seemed very ambitious in a cold, calculating way. Being disabled doesn't save you from people calling her out on being an unlikeable person.

I never heard any cheating rumors either (shrug). They were never apart - he even put her in the band, for goodness sake. Anyway, it's depressing that you all want him to marry your MOTHERS! I'm 20 years younger than Paul - my mother is 20 years older than him. He was my first crush too - along with David Cassidy. Heather always just threw off a deadly serious, cold, bItchface vibe. I always hoped that she was lighter and happier in her personal life - because Linda was such a warm loving mother earth type.

Costliest show biz divorce ever? I heard that Stella McCartney was furious that her dad didn't protect his fortune from Heather before they married. That might just be tabloid gossip, but a lot of people were saying the same thing. Heather never seemed like a wife-for-life.
I'm not against May-December romances, but they do have a unique dynamic that, in my experience, usually involves an older man losing all common sense ;D. Combine that with the rebound factor after Linda passed? Paul probably wasn't thinking straight when he married her.

I just read that Heather Mills is several years younger than Linda's eldest daughter by a previous marriage (before Linda married Paul I mean).
That just freaks me out.
