Honestly what I pictured for both Johanna and Coin were ethnic women. I imagined Johanna to be Hispanic looking while Coin I imagined her to be black. It would be awesome if it went that way with the casting.

I pictured Johanna as Hispanic too, for some reason.
Coin looked a lot like Cherry Jones in my head, so obviously I think she'd be great. But of course Cate or SWINTON would kill it too.

I totally pictured Joanna as Hispanic, too! That's why I was confused that all these blondes were being tossed around for the role. I pictured her as tall, dark, and muscular. So yeah, Michelle Rodriguez, basically, except some acting ability would be nice.

Funny, I always pictured Johanna as being kind of small and slight. I remember in her original Hunger Games she wasn't taken seriously as a threat, because she feigned cowardice (and, I'm guessing, wasn't physically intimidating either), and then when her competitors dropped their guard, that's when she took them out.
Swinton as Coin? Awesome. I doubt it would happen, but awesome.

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Jena Malone did indeed snag the role.
