No, she's definitely older than 30. One of the past American Idol contestants (who is 36), tweeted that she went to high school with Jessica. And according to this article, she turns 35 this year.

It sucks that Hollywood puts such an emphasis on being young, that older actresses have to lie about their age in order to keep working.

I recently saw her in Wilde Salome and in the documentary parts she came across as a very nice person, and in the film of the play, she was astoundingly good. Just fantastic. You also at some parts see her being filmed getting direction, which made me even more impressed with her, just because you see how tiny changes in her movement produced such different effects. (I'm not sure if I'm explaining that well)

I've never seen her in anything else, and I'm really hoping to see her in more stuff. She's also an incredible dancer. (and every should go to see Wilde Salome if they get a chance. So much better than I thought it was going to be based in the description)

And if she really is 35, she looks amazing for it in Wilde Salome.

I would love to see this, but I doubt it would ever come to my city. (We didn't even get The Artist) I can't find it on Netflix or Amazon either.

Well, I only saw it as part of a film festival, so I'm not sure if it has been properly released yet.

I think in some of the media around the festival they said it would be released later in the year, so it might to up on Netflix then.

The 31-year-old The Help actress wore a corseted blue metal satin Louis Vuitton dress and Harry Winston jewels. The dress is made of a tulle crinoline and entirely hand embroidered with crystals and pearls and took over 200 hours of work.

Jessica recently passed on a possible role in Marvel’s next installment of Iron Man.

“Sorry to say that Iron Man 3 isn’t going to work out,” Jessica explained on her Facebook. “My schedule is jammed packed and I can’t fit anything else in. The press announced my possible attachment far too soon. I know many of you wanted me to be involved, and I’m so sorry to disappoint you. Hopefully there’ll be another Marvel film in my future.”

This made me sad because I thought she killed it at the Oscars. The top of her dress is way too tight, and the squished up boobs don't look good. The fabric looks kind of wrinkly, but maybe that's just the flash. I love the color of the dress, though, it looks so good with her red hair. The almost complete lack of eye makeup isn't working.

Shockingly, she only has one film in competition there (Lawless, formerly the 'Wettest Country in the World' - trailer here) - as Madagascar 3, for which she did a voiceover part, is out-of-competition, but she is murdering it on the Cannes Red Carpet.

Like, there's a Fuck Yeah Jessica Chastain Tumblr now and half the pics are from the last week or so. She's pretty enough to draw focus away from Tom Hardy's borderline crazy beard.

James McAvoy replaced Joel Edgerton in the Eleanor Rigby movies I mentioned a few pages back. I can see them having good chemistry. She's much taller than him though, right? (McAvoy is very short IRL I believe).

She was so good in The Help that it took me a while to register it was the same actress from Tree of Life. Her skin is luminous.

I guess she and Shailene Woodley from the Descendants became friends during awards season last year. Aww.
