"Death...by exile!"
I didn't know he was going to be in it so I let out a little squeal of glee when he showed up.

After this and his surprise cameo appearance in the craptastic Tron:Legacy, I hope he keeps it up.
Re: Gordon's wife - How bad do your marriage and Gotham have to be for you to say, "Fuck this, I'm moving to Cleveland"?

Re: Gordon's wife - How bad do your marriage and Gotham have to be for you to say, "Fuck this, I'm moving to Cleveland"? One part she couldn't put up with lie about Harvey Dent and one part keeping her and the kids offstage so Barbara Gordon's available if they do a JGL headed sequel? First, all the squee-y fangirl stuff. I LOVED the cameos, but William Devane and Will Estes were my faves. I liked the arc of the movie and the arc of the trilogy. I think Bane not being the strongest villian ever worked because, at the end, everyone's biggest nemesis was, to some extent, themselves and this extended to Gotham as a whole. Now the political stuff. WOW. Coming off the Occupy movement and the ever increasing gap between the haves and the have nots this seemed very timely. I really felt like I was watching a modern-day October Revolution during the taking over Gotham scenes.

Just want to say that I LOVED seeing Cillian Murphy in this movie. He really does know how to do crazy well. I grabbed MrB and jumped in my seat. He is one of my favorite characters in the Dark Knight series. I find him creepily attractive. Or attractively creepy.

He really is a combo of both. It's like he's seducing me and/or planning to serve me up on a plate with his eyes.

Finally got around to seeing this. Well done, Mr. Nolan.
I have my gripes. Bane. Marion Cotillard. Her death scene was laughable. 20 mins too long. Hammering home the message with a tank. Yes, we know the evil of excess. Thank you.
I really liked Anne and JGF. Great additions. The old guard did great as well, especially Bale, Oldman and Caine, in tying everything together from the Dark Knight. All the pain, disillusionment, loss from that film was fully realized by those 3.
It wasn't perfect, but it was a satisfactory conclusion to the trilogy.

Some Bane outtakes. By the time he got to his freestyle, I was in tears.

I watched this a second time and it wasn't quite as gripping, but I still enjoyed Bane knocking the bejesus out of an unsuspecting, overly confident Batman. And Hathaway really did give a nice performance as Catwoman. #Halletakenotes

I hope the buzz/rumors are right & he's going to put the cowl on one more time for Justice League.
