Am trying to decide whether or not to watch this show. It sounds like it will make me cringe. The Boys spoof is something I would watch. Ha.

Marnie got more annoying throughout the season, Hannah is almost impossible to bear.
I like Jessa and Shoshanna is hilar.
I laughed out loud at a couple of scenes in the last 4 episodes or so, especially cracked out Shosh.
I thought I wasn't going to be able to relate to this even while being a mid-20s girl in NYC, and I don't really (not emotionally), but these stories, these parties, these people -- they are definitely in my life through the various people I know in a very surreal but real way. I think it's kind of why I enjoyed it.

Rita Wilson is playing Marnie's mom next season. I think this may end up being AMAZING casting.

I've definitely come across these women in my life. I went to high school with girls like these, and that was in the 70's. I finally watched the entire first season and to me I find all of them unlikeable, selfish and self absorbed. |

Agreed. I watch this show because I feel like I should, and most of the time most of the characters get on my last nerve, but I keep watching? I don't know.

The only thing I like about this show is that the main "girl" Hannah is rather average looking, she's not rail thin, she doesn't look like the actresses on the "CW." She looks like a real person.

And I'm so shallow and trained by the media that I find her non-perfect body really off-putting. I'm ashamed to say it but I do. (I also find my husband's weight gain off-putting so I'm an asshole to people in real life too.)
