I hope Chris Eigeman's character is in it a lot, because I have a massive crush on him.
I still am unsure how this will turn out, since I haven't yet seen Lena Dunham's Tiny Furniture, but will definitely tune in out of curiosity.

Why do I read YouTube comments. No, really, WHY?
I'll check it out. I smiled more in that trailer than the last two episodes of AbFab and the entirety of Sex and the City.

I'll definitely check this one out, based on that trailer. It looks like it has the potential to be really good and none of the new comedies with female protagonist(s) have done it for me this season. I'd list "Enlightened" as an exception but that's more drama than comedy.

For a good old-fashioned dose of misogyny, head to CriterionForum.org to read all the pretentious fanboys lose their shit over Tiny Furniture's inclusion in the Collection (even though that IFC's deal with Criterion means that a LOT of modern films are going to be distributed by them before their "classic" status is attained.) Which, even if Girls is terrible or merely mediocre, HBO greenlit SEVEN seasons of Entourage. And a movie. Following Lena on Twitter actually won a Slate columnist over. For those who do the Twitter thing.

Re-posting over here...
Hopefully it'll get better. I think they tried too hard to have witty/edgy banter. And right now I'm finding all of them unlikeable.
Was the dad Peter Scolari?

All those girls look alike. It's like I'm looking at a United States of Tara poster, if Tara were in her twenties.

The creator's and writers' responses to the backlash to their show has turned me off more than anything. Not that I was interested in watching a bunch of privileged jackasses "struggle" in some whitewashed version of Brooklyn anyway.

I didn't necessarily enjoy the first episode, but I think it unfortunately is a good representation of a lot of young adults in this day and age. I know a LOT of people like Hannah who aren't brats in the sense that they are actually smart, interesting people that you enjoy being around and talking to but are in the fact that they're totally disconnected from actual poverty and hardship while thinking that they're struggling because of living off their parents and not being able to be "discovered" or find the amazing job they thought they'd have with their college degree(s). It seems like the friends and acquaintances of mine who moved to big cities in particular have this problem, I guess because the cost of living is so high, and they refuse to compromise by moving back home to the suburbs and finding a job that they feel is beneath them. Not that moving to or living in a big city is a bad thing, and I certainly know people who have made wonderful lives for themselves that way, but just saying. I might give the show a couple more episodes to see if it picks up a bit.
