I like the English gal, and I'm not even sure why. Because God knows she's not a likable character. None of them are. Maybe I just like the actress?
I watched also because of the buzz and kept hoping I would like something. I don't think I ever did. Brian Williams' kid seems annoying (hopefully she's perfectly lovely in real life and is playing her character well). I don't know.... I don't think I can fake my way through another season. I just wish SOMEONE would be likable. Maybe I'm just too old for this show (and I'm sure that's true).

I just wish SOMEONE would be likable. Maybe I'm just too old for this show (and I'm sure that's true). I like Jessa too and also don't know why. I think in that respect the actress, Jemima whatever, is absolutely perfect in her role. I think that she is beautiful in that infuriating, effortless way and everyone has had that friend and you just KNOW her. You just want to hang out with her even though you sort of hate her, but then again you can't hate her because she's so interesting. And every single guy likes her. I guess I am in the minority here in really enjoying the show and being excited for season 2. I was underwhelmed with the season 1 finale, but I still can't wait to see what they have in store. They have announced some interesting guest stars (Donald Glover and Patrick Wilson as love interests for Hannah, Rita Wilson as Marnie's mom, Shiri Appleby as a love interest for Adam) and the trailer looks really good.

And I'm so shallow and trained by the media that I find her non-perfect body really off-putting. I'm ashamed to say it but I do. (I also find my husband's weight gain off-putting so I'm an asshole to people in real life too.) Me too *ashamed*. I think I kind of find her resistance to TRY and sort of be healthy more off-putting. Actually I might just find her annoying because she doesn't seem to try to do much of anything. Anyway I'm really excited for this, Justified, and Suits to come back. Yay January!

Nope, still not getting it (especially in light of the awards last night). And why did Brian Williams' daughter get so bone thin? Did she lose weight for the line about how she's losing weight, or was that line thrown in to explain why she looked that way? Her GG dress showed lots of boney sternum.
I don't know, I just can't find a character to cheer for, so I might be out. I so want to be in on the buzz, but I feel like I'm lost in a forest without any crumbs or something.
The quirky gal is such a bad parody ... she seems disturbed or mentally challenged. And Adam is just so unlikeable, I can't wait for him to get off the screen.

I actually really liked the premiere episode. I cracked up a couple of times, especially during the drunken-end-of-party-couch-karaoke.

I thought the premiere was okay. It will probably take a couple of episodes to hit its stride, just like it did last season. I like that Hannah is (slowly) growing a backbone when it comes to guys. Marnie and Elijah hooking up was both terrible and funny. I am glad that Andrew Rannells is a bigger part of the show now.
Rita Wilson is a good choice for Marnie's mom, but geez I thought she looked bad. Her hair was fried and she had really deep lines in her forehead. I don't think that every woman should have Botox, but it would do her a world of good!

I love the fact that Lena Dunham gets undressed in just about every episode. Seeing a body like that on TV is refreshing. But her character's underwear? Those are the most exhausted looking bras I've ever seen. They're greyish and shapeless, like they've always been thrown in with darks on laundry day and fried in the dryer.
I'm not saying she has to go all Agent Provocateur, but maybe something that doesn't look like it came from Sears in the 70s.

I get annoyed that she has to get undressed in every episode, especially because it feels like it's done to make a statement, not necessarily part of the story. It was really irritating in this one because it seemed so obvious that Marnie was hiding her breasts in her hook-up scene before it. I guess I feel that if a show is going to have some characters getting naked, they all should have the same level of nudity in the scenes that require it. Otherwise it just screams "NO NUDITY CLAUSE!" for the actors who are awkwardly covering their naughty bits in their scenes.
I adore Andrew Rannells. He's so cute, in a 1950s little boy way.

I don't see why the actors/actresses who don't want to do nudity should have to do nudity. There is plenty of it as is. And there are many shows where some but not all of the cast do nudity, like Sex and the City (SJP was never nude, and Kristin Davis only went topless in one episode I think?) and True Blood (I remember Jessica covering her breasts really conspicuously when she had sex with Jason).

It's not that they have to, but it's just so obvious that one is doing nudity and one isn't. If it was a daytime soap and everyone was having sex with awkwardly placed sheets then that's the language of that show. With some doing it and some not it just draws attention to the nudity/non-nudity as opposed to the story itself. YMMV.
