Started watching this show on the recommendation of the friend that was sequestered in her home for a week due to a medical condition. That should have told me what I needed to know about this show. The characters are thoroughly unlikable - which would be okay if it made me laugh. I laughed twice in the first 5 episodes and smirked once. Yes, I counted my reactions as this was that bad. All of the characters are assholes with the possible exception of Shoshanna. I finished the season, and I do think that the show got better, but then I watched the first episode of the second season and realized that this show is just boring to me. Maybe I'm too old or something as I am just a little younger than the Sex & the City girls, and I adored that show.
The nudity? Eh. I think that Hannah is homely in general, but whatever. Props to the woman that plays her for not giving a rat's ass and writing so that she is getting it on anyway since that's what happens in real life. I find her ugly tattoos more offensive than her not-hourglass figure. She does have really nice skin which is I guess why the prison-quality tattoos annoy me so much.

I thought last night's episode was a vast improvement over the season premiere. I was rolling at Hannah trying to cut her bangs while watching the Youtube video. I am addicted to makeup application/beauty, hair, etc. Youtube tutorials and I don't even know why. That was hilarious. Then Adam coming in being a creep and wearing the mask, and the 911 call.
Still love, love, LOVE Elijah. He brings so much to the show and to Hannah, I think. I like him much better than Marnie as her BFF/roomie. I think that she and Marnie are better apart.
I hate Ray, but he and Shoshanna are actually kinda cute.
Jessa and her husband are almost creepy. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on that one. And why did neither she nor Hannah correct him when he said "Dannah"? Omg, the box of puppies.
I knew Hannah's new BF would be out of there in no time. But supposedly Patrick Wilson is going to play a love interest for her this season, so I don't guess she will be getting back with Adam right away (plus he might be in jail or they might both have restraining orders against each other??).

I'm still watching this show, but it's not my favorite. I keep thinking it's gonna get better, but it doesn't. I think I just got sucked into the media hype.
As for last night's episode, I'm glad Hannah's boyfriend is off the show because he makes a better pairing with Abed on Community.
I'm also loving Elijah. The character and the actor. Something is definitely up with Jessa's husband. It seems like he doesn't like Hannah at all. He was out of there and nervous when he saw her at the door. I'm sure he's hiding something and somehow Hannah knows what it is but she doesn't realize it. That's my theory.
I can't stand Adam. He's so nasty. He's dirty and on the psycho side. Are they going to make him into a stalker?

Officially renewed for a third season. No surprise, really. I'm glad!

I watched all episodes over the past week and while it's not bad, it's also not...that deep. Season one had some great moments, like Elijah telling Hannah that her dad is gay or the big fight between Hannah and Marnie. Other times I wished they would focus less on the Hannah and Adam drama but I get that this was supposed to be the central storyline. I liked that people called Hannah out on her selfishness.
It's a good thing that this is a half hour show with only a few episodes a season because Lena Dunham doesn't have much to tell. The fact that she's writing a show about people in their twenties while she's at that age herself is great in some aspects but I also don't think there'll much else to come. That last episode was the worst of the series IMHO and for the first time I really disliked Hannah.
I guess I'm trying to say that I don't hate the show and will keep watching season 2 but it's also not as fantastic and unique as the media makes it out to be.

Well, Jessa's marriage lasted longer than I thought it would.

I just keep waiting to find something to like about these gals, but it keeps getting worse.
Jessa's "edgy" behavior with the parents made me want to slap her. And Marnie? Are we supposed to like ANYTHING about her? Her character is actually sort of making me hate Brian Williams.
Hannah does get some funny lines, though. Didn't she say something about having a few good folk albums in her? heh.

So do all the young girls get into bathtubs together nowadays? I thought that was weird, but maybe I'm just getting old. The only "girl" I actually like is Shoshana and that's because she's just so awkward and funny. And I enjoyed that this episode was not focused on Hannah. I quite enjoyed her this episode.

I actually like all four girls now. I REALLY didn't at first. I dunno about the bathtub thing, but I enjoyed Hannah singing "Wonderwall" to herself. Haha.
It will be interesting to see what Jessa gets up to now.

That fight that Jessa had with her husband was classic. Returning the puppies to the pet store? They're both such horrible characters.
