OMG, did I hate this. Trying so hard to be "insider" with the theater community (taking pot shots at Michael Riedel, now that's brave!). So strained and formulaic. And it always freaks me out when people act disproportionately impressed with something obviously mediocre - like when everyone gets all hot and bothered about Katharine McPhee. And for the record, Megan Hilty has more talent in one of her eyelashes than Katharine McPhee does.

I did too! I was like HUH?!? when he was making out with that girl. I still can't take this show seriously, Katherine McPhee is the weak link for me.

Me! I still think he's gay (or maybe bi?). He reminds me of Eddie Haskell, and I want his comeuppance to happen sooner rather than later.

I agree, too, about the Debra Messing affair thing. It could not have been more obvious from the first time the guy was mentioned.

I think it was mentioned in the first episode that his assistant wasn't gay, but that Tom thought he was or something like that. *shrug*

I'm not that emotionally invested in this characters (although I know it is early on), except for maybe Dev.

I thought that Joe DiMaggio was gay too until they showed him in that scene with his wife. It is a good thing the show told us his Bruno Mars performance was amazing because to my uneducated ears it sounded terrible. Also a Bruno Mars jukebox show?

Ever since some review mentioned that Katherine McPhee had enormously wide shoulders that is all I notice now. Girl is slender but she has shoulders like a linebacker.

I remember those shoulders from her Idol days. She's pretty but just sort of there as an actress. Not the most horrible I've ever seen but nothing to build a show around, either.

Katherine McPhee is just so...inert. She's like an android or something. She looks and sounds human but she's missing the spark of life.
