Kathy saying to a NYE heckler, "I don't come to your job and slap the dicks out of your mouth." makes me think that's exactly what she's implying with those that didn't "support" her.
I loathe Trump, but that stunt was just stupid. It served zero purpose and was done all for shock value. The problem is, when she did it is why it failed so much. Now, if he's on the list of being indicted and/or being tried and committed in a court of law? With tons of evidence made public to support what a completely complicit, fraud and traitor he is? Then yeah, maybe that would have played out a little differently. But that stunt while the country is still licking its wounds from the awful election was just not right.
I used to love Kathy and all her wacky and off-the-wall bullshit, watched her show and all her specials...but now, she's completely out of her mind.

This victim stuff has changed me from wishing her luck getting her career back on track to actively intending to avoid whatever she does in the future.
She keeps claiming all innocent-like that, "All I want to do is make people laugh." I disagree, I think all she wants to do is make money. However, if she wants to demonstrate her sincere desire to make people laugh, she should stop spending all of her time complaining about the wrongs that have allegedly been done to her and sit down and write some new material. And focus on making it funny and not about herself.
She had a lot of gigs cancelled in the immediate wake of the Trump photo, but if she would take time out for 5 seconds and stop reminding everyone about it, I'm sure she can find venues that will be willing to book her. If not, she can put a comedy special on youtube and remind people of why they were fans - instead of 17-minute rants about business associates who failed to kowtow to her in the manner she feels she deserves.

I clicked but didn't watch the video. I notice it has 23K thumbs down and 12K thumbs up. The top comments for me were both nonsensical and not especially supportive (I think).
She has some massive wound in her psyche that is just going to cause her to work against her own interests. It's too bad.

The "knock the dicks out of your mouth" comment above reminded me why Kathy never sat well with me. I think she's funny, yes, but to me she uses homosexuality as an insult.
Same with Joan Rivers: she insulted men by accusing them of being gay, she was a hardcore Republican, she was racist, but she knew gay men made a good (and lucrative) audience. Joan was no friend to gays and neither is Kathy, ultimately.

Same with Joan Rivers: she insulted men by accusing them of being gay, she was a hardcore Republican, she was racist I know some people on LSA alleged that Joan Rivers was guilty of misogynoir, but I had no idea she was a Republican too! I wonder how Joan would have reacted to Trump being elected as POTUS. As for Kathy, I never expected to see her shoot herself in the foot like this. She worked so hard to get off the D list, only to knock herself down to past the Z list. |

People liked her because she made them feel like they were crashing a party with her, seeing things through the eyes of someone who was a little star struck. Then she became a bigger star, and instead of continuing to try to stay connected to her audience, she wanted to sit with the cool kids. Her antics became desperate, culminating in the ghastly beheading photo. |
