Fitz's entire "you killed our marriage" tirade. I'm pissed at Shonda for even putting this nonsense into the show.

Yeah, that was pretty rage inducing, especially with the way Mellie was made to just stand there and take it. The anger over Fitz's hypocrisy and cruelty should have caused Mellie to overcome the shame of just having been caught and fight back. At this point they are trapped in a one-sided open marriage. It's only fair that Mellie get a discreet side piece of her own until they're out of the White House.

And Scandal is officially garbage. Olivia Pope is dead. Long live Queen Mellie.

I keep coming back to the scene is Season 1(?) where she reads her Senator boyfriend for filth for implying that she was an idiot, a whore, a liar, and some other derogatory thing. But tonight, she whored herself out to Jake. Sat down with the devil (her dad) to get access to information when she knows strings are attached. Her criminal/terrorist mommy flits about without consequence. She gets in the face of her married boyfriend's wife's boyfriend, and tells him to back off. Jesus tapdancing Christ, tonight was AWFUL! Except for the Mellie slap. Harrison (I had to google his name), why is he even still on the show? He's pointless, and useless. Huck? Don't even get me started on anyone connected to B36. Let this season be a dream sequence. That's the only way to remotely redeem it.

Total waste of a season and character that had a chance to really go somewhere. This truly is the telenovela that is played out on Jimmy Kimmel.

Aaaaannnnnd I'm out. I use to love this show and after last night it is now relegated to "watch on On-Demand when/if I have the time". I loved the case of the week stories, the unpacking of the complicated details of the Grant marriage and partnership, etc. The evil mother is just STUPID and the father is a horrible actor. Quinn and Huck are disgusting (and not in an interesting way). I don't care about any of them.

I think this is the same reason why I stopped watching Grey's Anatomy after the second season. Don't they do the stilted, staccato delivery and long-winded speeches as well? It's like what Julia Sugarbaker on Designing Women did on occasion, only she did not do it every episode. And she was the only character to do it, so the delivery had some oomph! On Scandal it is just laughable.

Yeah, I seriously asked myself why I was still watching this show last episode. It's that weird combination of boring yet over-the-top that Grey's Anatomy also reached when I stopped watching.

I kind of hope they pull a Good Wife and just kill off Fitz with this bomb.

I'm going to finish out the season then I'm out. This happened with Grey's Anatomy too. It just became too outrageous. Scandal has reached that point.

I guess I have given up because I did not watch last night's episode. Olivia was great to root for because she (and her partners) had a moral compass in the midst of all the shadows, now she's completely subsumed into Fitz's grossness. I can't watch anymore.
