I forgot what Mellie said exactly but I was hoping that Olivia would just think Mellie had an affair with Big Jerry. I really want Mellie to have her big moment / reveal.
Cyrus has nothing to lose so he DGAF if anyone else dies.
Alsooooo I totally thought Mama Pope's plan was to create a panic and make everyone think something was going to happen on the campaign trail but really, make a beeline to the White House. Wouldn't that be the more twisted thing to do? Fitz as the only target is so lame. What would be even better is her targeting Fitz because she knows what an ahole he is to her daughter.

OK, I don't know if it's the actors or what but I am GROSSED OUT every time Huck goes to make out with Quinn. He looks like he's inhaling her face and there's a ton of spit involved. It's not sexy and I peek thru my eyes every time like I'm watching a horror movie. Ugh!! My eyes! Please make it stop. The actors have no chemistry. I always found Guillermo Diaz very sexy in his scenes with Mary Louise Parker on Weeds, so I'm not sure why I'm reaching for the puke basket every time he and Katie Lowes make out? I blame Shonda.

You know, I foolishly believed that they would cobble together something to bring this terrible season to a half-way decent conclusion. I thought Shonda would at least try to salvage her reputation by going out with a bang, not a whimper. I was wrong.
I want those 42 minutes of my life back. I wish I had never binge watched the first two seasons and got hooked. I don't even have the energy to explain why every storyline and its conclusion sucked, but they did. They all did.
Top 10 worst parts of Scandal finale in no particular order:
1. Huck and Quinn screwing. Again. 2. The actor that plays Huck hyperventilating/verging on seizure method of acting. 3. Liv wussing out, and negating everything she used to stand for. 4. Liv choosing to leave with Jake, the man who murdered her God-child's father, and two other innocent women. 5. Mellie turning to mush. 6. Poppa Pope living to see another day. 7. Momma Pope living to see another day. 8. Tony Goldwyn's auto-pilot acting. 9. No one giving a shit that a kid died to prove a point/win an election. 10. Leaving it vague as to whether Harrison's (I finally remembered his name) pointles ass, lives or dies.
HORRIBLE. Way to end on a down note. Nothing was compelling. Nothing unresolved will have me interested in tuning in next season to see what happened. I won't ever watch this show again.

Agreed, babycakes.
I also thought the choice of "Papa was a Rolling Stone" playing over the reveal of what a terrible human being Olivia's dad is was incredibly jarring. Regardless of the words that's known as a pretty symbolically bad ass song, as in cool, nothing about what happened or what he did was cool. It took me out of it completely. I'm so confused as to who and what couple(s) this show thinks were supposed to be rooting for. I'm rooting for no one.
And what is going on with Joe Morton? I thought he could act at one time.

I was disgusted when they showed Cyrus and the staff celebrating the win. He just lost his son. They may be happy with the results, but no one would be cheering and jumping up and down especially in the WH where the POTUS could walk by at any time.
Harrison is an idiot who deserved to die. He knew Papa Pope has killed multiple people but he thinks it's a good idea to tell him how he realized he killed the President's son. No, I'm sure the sociopathic spy master is going to let you live a happy life after that little speech.
And word to the previous posters. I don't think I like a single character left on this show. The only halfway decent moment was Fitz's reaction to Mellie and I was still kinda pissed that Olivia told him and not Mellie.
I'm so disappointed in how this show has made every character so unlikable. At least the season is over so I can just be done with it.

I rolled my eyes so hard during the entire episode that I had to chase them down the hall. Apparently Shondra knew everyone would be pissed. What I want to know is why did she allow that crap fest to happen in the first place? She's as bad as Ryan Murphy.
(and don't even get me started on how two candidates would still be in DC during a close election, or how no liberal person would be in the running. Oy.)
I officially hate this show.

Yeah, but DEEP DOWN he's a good person. And isn't that all that really matters? We all saw his inner kindness when he knelt down next to James as he died and apologized for not doing a better job killing him. So polite! And how lovely for James that he got to stare his murderer in the face and hear his creepy-kind voice in his last moments. Such a beautiful way to go out. Jake is a thoughtful killer. If only all killers could be like him, this world would be a better place.
Last night's episode of Writer's Room featured Scandal. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I'm sure the ratings have convinced them that they've crafted a brilliant show. It will be interesting to see how much the ratings drop in the fall. A dose of humility is the only thing that could get this show back on track and save it.

A lot of viewers (like me) probably chose to finish out the season and then call it a day. We shall see come September.

Is that what she talked about on Kimmel. I didn't read or watch any post finale interviews by Shonda or the cast. The general consensus was that it sucked, but she expected that? And admitted that she knew people wouldn't like it?! What type of bullcrap is that? Why send out a shoddy product?

When Liv said, "You want to come with me into the light!" I turned off the TV.
This shit is ridiculous.
